I totally agree. I used to tolerate nationalists but after all the political hysteria the past few years it's clear nationalists are part of the problem, not the solution. Nationalism is how the elite 1/10th of 1% control us. Brb slave away at Samsung bc Samsung = Korea = me. I feel so much better... while the ceo/politicians laughs at us.. who benefits from Korea/Japan/china fighting? Those that look to take advantage of us.. Don't let the elite conquer and divide everyone. If the Korean national team was mixed race I would love and support them. No such thing as "blood" to members here if they believe in that crap.
there are a few here that must live in some kind of magical fairyland. here i am spending every hour of the day wondering if today is the day north koreans bomb the shit out of me and the diasporas of this forum keep trying to convince me north koreans are just like south koreans. we are two generations removed from the breakup, north koreans arent anything like south koreans and in the event of a war it wont be kim jungeun or any government authorities attempting to headshot me (is it a mere coincidence that second gen koreans only have ethnicity to connect back to korea so they try to cling onto it as long as possible? you guys are slowly becoming the 'im irish' and 'im italian' dudes of america. if you want to be 'korean' you should learn the language, the culture, and the subcultures that follow (as supposed to completely despising it by calling every other korean you run into fobs and feggits). til then you will just have to settle for korean-american) when your average korean hears the story of han kwangsong they dont go 'omg hes korean just like us hes going to be the next park jisung'. hes an intriguing player and i too am interested in hearing his updates but this guy isnt one of our own the way everyone else in this part of the forum are. there is a north korean thread just for this exact purpose. if you would like sub threads you should petition for a north korean forum
jesus christ some of you guys are insufferable. You can wonder all you want about whether today is the day North Korea bombs South Korea, but this is a government action. Why should the regular citizens of NK be the scapegoat for the action of their government? Seriously, what the hell is wrong with you to put that blame on the citizens who just want to live regular lives? Yes, we are 2 generations removed from the Norks. Hell I'm fortunate that neither side of my family have/had any relatives in North; so there is no reason for me to "like" the Norks. Yet these people use to share the same culture, speak the same language. So it makes me delusional to want these people to live better lives? What's more pathetic is that this is a soccer forum. This is sports. Only narrow-minded dimwits would collide sports and politics together. Just like the separation of church and state, we should separate sports and politics. I'm supporting this guy and hope this guy kills it in Serie A. If you are "offended" or annoyed by it, then no need to visit this thread.
so once again, a diaspora clinging onto something arbitrary as ethnicity. south korea is slowly moving on from the homogeneous ethnicity stuff, keep up with the game you can support who you want but there is no politics in saying north korean players arent one of us and that his content belongs in a north korean thread. two weeks ago you did not give two shits about this guy. in fact go back a few years ago there is a thread where everyone was bashing this guy and his peers for age cheating and kicking the living shit out of lee seungwoo during the u16 asian championship. this is glory hunting at its best. leave politics out of it? please. you are just using 'oh we are all koreans' bullshit as an excuse and cherrypicking what you like from north korea whilst mindfully ignoring the rest. shit for i know this guy most likely holds high rank in the army like most other north korean athletes do i will keep the rest to myself. leaving it upto the moderator to make a sensible decision
I wrote a long post but I decided, fk it. No need to argue with someone who's going to find any necessary means to justify their hateful stance. FYI, I'm not for Unified Korea and I'm not for sending aid to Nork. But I will always want the best for the average Norks.
No problems with wanting the best for North Koreans, the issue would be if you didn't want the best for other ethnicities like Africa/Japan/Southeast Asia/China etc. Not saying your like that, but saying "blood" brother for NK is borderline fascist if taken the wrong way. The culture of South Korea today is basically a totally new country from the past. The influence of the Usa on Korea/Japan is undeniable, if anything NK today is a symbol of what Korea used to be. Best to move on and focus on the here and now.
Why should I worry about all the other ethnicities? Sure, all the best to them all but North Korea, whether you like it or not, are our neighbors, shared the same culture, and speak the same language. So yeah, I would say I feel closer to the brothers up in the North and want the best for them (it's called human nature to feel closer to people who are similar to you). How is it borderline fascist? Stop being an idiot and a troll. You're new here so I'm not taking any of the crap you say here seriously until you are proven not to be a troll.
For those who does not know , he is in Perugia in Serie B now. And he had a hattrick in the first league game yesterday. Fantastico! Not the best highlights but watchable Good finisher
https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/no...otball-thread-r.1981424/page-15#post-35808052 I posted here a "more watchable" version
We ae talking about Perugia, who couldn't distinguish their club player from a player who scored against Italy.
