Three MLS games this Friday night, but none on Sunday. As a non-practicing atheist, this angers me a lot. This forces me to spend time with people I'd rather not. Then again, I post in this thread, so I should be accustomed to spending time with people I'd rather not. This is also a de facto rivalry week of sorts with a few rivalry matchups slated (Vancouver vs Seattle, Colorado vs RSL, Philadelphia vs the game of soccer itself). Anyway, here's your weekly slate, you heathens. All times in EDT, which is how Jesus would've wanted it. Good Friday Night's a Great Night for Football New York City at Philadelphia - 7:00 pm - ESPN (They're putting the Union on ESPN? Good god...) Seattle at Vancouver - 10:00 pm - TSN, MLS Live Dallas at San Jose - 11:00 pm - UniMas, Univision Deportes Network, facebook live Saturday Atlanta at Montreal - 1:00 pm - CTV, MLS Live Los Angeles at Orlando - 2:30 pm - FOX, FOX Deportes New England at Chicago - 5:00 pm - MLS Live DC United at New York Red Bulls - 7:30 pm - MLS Live Toronto at Columbus - 8:00 pm - TSN, MLS Live Minnesota at Houston - 8:30 pm - MLS Live Real Salt Lake at Colorado - 9:00 pm - MLS Live Sporting Kansas City at Portland (The PTFC in KCMO Loser Sleeps on the Couch For a Week Derby) - 10:30 pm - MLS Live In addition to these games, we've also got the NHL and NBA playoffs which may be discussed in here (because this is the most wonderful time of the year), as well as discussion of the USL and the San Francisco Deltas (which sounds more like the name of a movie you'd find showing on Cine Las Estrellas on UniMas starring Louis Gossett Jr. as opposed to a soccer team that is woefully drawing flies), so we plan on keeping it light in here. As always, keep it neutral in the PBP thread. Unless you hate the Deltas. Knave said it was OK to hate the Deltas.
How to change the momentum of a game in two minutes after coming on by Christian Pulisic, aged 17 and a quarter. Still no goal though.
Some really poor officiating thus far in LEI-ATH game today. It's almost like UEFA don't want certain sides to advance. But that couldn't be.
Well.. this is disappointing.. the tags don't wrap any longer. Damn it, Knave!! You have let me down yet again!
Toast is the path to enlightenment Toast is the way to salvation Toast is good Toast is great In the name of the Toast, the Butter, and the Jelly and Jam. Amen.
If you are going to mention rivalry week, you might as well mention the biggest one being played this week.
I did. The Union haven't been able to conquer the actual game of soccer in 8 years despite what some consider their best efforts.
Colorado-Salt Lake was mentioned. You know, the oldest MLS rivalry cup still controlled by the fans (sorry Cascadia, your Cup didn't show up in the league until 2011 ).
That's alright. You can have the oldest MLS rivalry cup. Cascadia Cup is the oldest rivalry Cup in MLS (est 2004), tho.
