hopefully it won't hamper our hopes for an unconditional win. at least vert is healthier and participated in light runs. lamela is in recovery as well, only rose seems to be unknown yet. COYS!
We went 10 games without him earlier in the season and went 4W, 4D and 2L with 13 goals for and 6 against. In the PL, we went 2W and 3D with 6 scored and 3 conceded. Although the record wasn't bad, the goals for definitley dried up. Interestingly, it was during Harry's return for the derby at the Emirates that Poch went to a back 3 for the first time and got a good draw. I think that is the key, we are way better with a 3-4-2-1 formation and the stats bear that out: from my calculations, Poch has started a game with that formation 11 times this season in all comps and we are undefeated with 8W and 3D with 33 scored and 8 conceded. Hopefully that will stand us well during his absence. COYS!
Poch thinks Harry will be out up to 6 weeks, which would have him back for either the FA Cup semi or the derby on April 30. Harry thinks he can return sooner. Phew, after Sunday it looked like he may be gone for the rest of the season. Some injury concerns for Walker (ankle) and Wanyama (neck) for Sunday, hopefully they will pass fit. It will be interesting to see when our away fixtures against Crystal Palace and Leicester will be scheduled. Don't know if the club has any influence with that, but it may be wise to try and get them towards the end of the season after Harry's return. COYS!
that sounds amazing, but who knows. no idea about the credibility of either journo or the site... still, have a look: http://www.footballinsider247.com/r...ful-kane-make-tottenham-return-v-bournemouth/
hope Walker is available for the midweek match. is Rose getting close to coming back yet? Kane probly still out a couple more weeks, I spose... so many starters injured this season the difference between Chelsea and Spurs could be down to injuries - Chelsea just hasn't had any long term ones
I think Walker was just being rested after playing for England and the 3 games in a week for us. I expect to see him midweek if not at the weekend. We need Rose and Kane for the bigger games late April.
I don't think this is as bad as it seems. Lamela has been pretty much been a non-factor this season. Winks, while good, has been more of a solid supporting roll. Those two being out for the seaons will not have the impact which Rose has had, or a lengthy sideline for Walker. Think of the struggles with Alde went down. The issues are Kane and Waynama. Fortunately, it seems that Waynama will be out a week, maybe less. Kane will certainly be back before the end of the season. Spurs will be okay, and can still challenge.
Dier can step in for Wanyama, no issue there at all in midfield at least. Who comes in for Dier at the back, that's more of a problem - Carter-Vickers? Wimmer in the middle with Alderweireld moving right? Or more likely, a complete formation change to 4 2 3 1 with Sissoko on the right. I don't like that a single injury means such a drastic change. We need to either trust CCV or make another centre back a priority in the summer.
Na, the Tottenham Hospital had a regular waiting room with a special room to Sicknote. This just happened all at the same time. We know Walker will miss a few games, and so will Rose. Kane was unlucky. FFS, two players off injured in the same match, one out since forever. Unlucky. Could be Everton (9 starters out injured).
Great news on Kane, he is recovered and very likely in the squad for tomorrow. A bit unclear situation on the goalies though, vorm somehow picked up an injury and lloris still need to be assessed, same applies for victor. Anyway, a must win and watford looks much weaker with many more injuries and bookings. COYS!
I remember how he got injured up at Sunderland. Once again, that annoying tactic of ours of trying to play out of the back when nothing is on. Lloris kicked the ball straight into touch and from the restart, Danny got injured giving away a free kick.
