Oh... bitchin' beer... anyways, I done saved the link now, so I'm-a postin' it. http://www.al.com/news/index.ssf/2016/04/post_130.html An Alabama craft brewery will observe the state's new growler law by debuting a limited-release peach beer inspired by the ongoing Gov. Robert Bentley scandal. Salty Nut Brewery of Huntsville said its new Unimpeachable Pale Ale will celebrate the "unimpeachable leadership shown by Bentley," who came under fire in March after he admitted to making sexually inappropriate comments to his former political adviser, Rebekah Caldwell Mason, who has since resigned.
So I'm more and more convinced that everything that Track 7 Brewing Co. touches turns to gold. Their "Panic!" IPA is already widely considered Sacramento's flagship beer, but I was at the brewery recently and tried some of their more unusual offerings, including first and second attempts in new styles. 4th Anniversary Pilsner: hard to believe this is their first-ever lager. Clean, crisp, but with a bit of a bite to it (55 IBU) and some nice citrus aromas. "Contagious" pineapple Brett DIPA: smooth and refreshing, not bad at all for what I think is only their second-ever sour. "Bushranger," billed as an "oceanic pale ale" with all Australian hops, reminded me of rice crackers with nori for some reason, but well balanced and eminently drinkable. Also, I noticed bottles of "Blood Transfusion" blood orange wheat IPA in my local grocery store. Will have to try that.
The Bruery Terreux Frucht: Passion Fruit A bit on the sour side (which I don't mind). You can taste the passion fruit but maybe could have been used to balance it out a bit. Still a good beer
Did a favor for a friend and he gave me this. This is brewed by monks in Norcia, Italy. This fall, Norcia was struck by a series of powerful earthquakes which destroyed the church and monastery. The brewery was in the basement. The equipment was not damaged, but it will be a long time before they brew again.

Very good Imperial IPA clocking in at just over 9%. Very well balanced between the hops and mango, papaya and lemon grass
I was in Louisville, Kentucky at a place called Hop Cat yesterday. Had a Founders Nitro Rubaeus. It was delicious.
It was creamy. Never had it before. Actually wanted a sampler and bartender gave me a whole tulip worth.
I'm normally not a double IPA drinker, but I took notice when one of my East Coast friends raved about a zero IBU double IPA he'd had. And then one of the breweries in Sacramento produced something similar. New Glory Tropical Affair: hazy Northeast style double IPA, lots of pineapple and mango on the palate, and almost no bitterness. Outstanding.
Picked up a few of these last week. Nice for a black IPA (not one of my favorite styles): Alchemist El Jefe @ElJefe

Have a six pack of Victory Storm King Stout. West Chester and Phoenixville, PA both have some great microbreweries.
