I prefer the slightly gray background on quoted text, rather than the text itself being grayed out. It looks rather wispy and hard to read in it's current state.

Yeah - I think we should filter out the NSR stuff like politics and other sports.

Quotes look much better now and, click on a trending topic takes you to first unread instead of post #1. Also, unchecking 'sticky navigation' in preferences stops the header from traveling with the page, which is a very good bug fix from when those buttons didn't work (still not clear on what collapse sig and info does, because they don't seem to change anything)

    three good fixes.

I suspect others might still have an issue with the the grey on grey of the quotes and sigs, my eyesight is still good enough to read them fine though....

Things I still would like to see:
    1) move (or give the option to move) the sidebar to the bottom or away altogether.
1b) make messages span the width of the browser window (or at least a larger percent)
    2) eliminate redundant alert symbol
    3) allow HTML tags in sigs so I can bold/italicize/hyperlink
    4) shrink the padding between posts. In comparison to facebook and twitter (when it puts breaks at all) the BS padding is about twice as large.

Hmm, I tried my own Firefox (updated to version 43.0.1) and it has both Sidebar & Toggle Width. I'm guessing you're using an older version?

Too bad... that might've gotten me using Firefox again for the first time in years. ;)

Maybe that's what lead to them beating us so easily in the end. And us losing a chance at setting an MLS undefeated record. Such is life.

Would it be possible to include the forum the trending thread is in? The idea is interesting, but I'd like a bit more information before I click in.

Sounders like to break streaks.. Yours was the 4th undefeated streak of over 10 games we'd broken in the last year.

Am I alone in never seeing a second alert notification at the top left of the page?

No, in fact I don't, so I was wondering too... Maybe it is something happening on mobile devices? :cautious:I still saw the new graphic only on PC screen.

Seems to be back now for me. The changes get a par score now I guess. Gray text in quotes isn't great though.

A new bug that I'm not sure I can even accurately describe when it happens:

disabling 'sticky sidebar' in preferences keeps the sidebar anchored to the top of the page, so it doesn't follow you as you scroll (this seems to be the opposite of how I'd define sticky, but thats another point).

Except, sometimes it doesn't work. As far as I can tell, if a thread loads up to a specific post (for example, a thread you've been watching that now has new posts, or that you get to by going through your notifications), the page loads up to the first new post, and the sidebar loads up there as well, and then follows you around the page until you go to a different page, or refresh a handful of times.

Disabling 'sticky header' by comparison, never seems to break in that way.

It only happens if the browser width is shrunk to a small enough dimension that the top level menu options on the header disappear, which I assume is the point at which it switches to whatever design mobile users see.

You'd probably get more traffic during the day if you made the forum look like an Excel Spreadsheet. :D

Thanks. I am able to do that in a desktop browser now. I am no longer left out. The second alert notification is pointless!

Has the Boss Button ever worked? Does that even exist now?

I just turned it back on - it does not appear to have done anything.

Hey, my Recent Articles thing has disappeared, so thanx to whoever did that.

A minor suggestion, and in fairness I have not read this whole thread so it may have been covered. In the old design, there was a link at the bottom of the page that would take you back to the titled forum. There was also one at the top. Now (unless I missed it) there is only a link at the top. That means that after I read the final page of a thread, I can't just jump back to the forum. I need to go back to the top of the page to find that link. Pretty easy I would think to include a link at the bottom and that would make the forum more easily navigated.

I get two big green up+down arrow buttons that leap to the top or bottom of the page.

I have tried to use those 4 times - 2 of those times they disappeared as I was moving my cursor toward them - so I'd rather they just be gone 100% of the time - I thought that might be useful despite its cluttery ugliness, but I was mistaken :)

I also like the blue mark now on the quotes (that is new, right?)......

If you scroll down (or up) slightly, they will re-appear and stay there.

for a little while - or until the side stuff pops up --- but that kind of defeats their usefulness if you have to scroll to get them ....

My biggest "problem" is still with the Watched Forum page, not being able to see what's read versus unread and which thread was last updated by whom.

I just upgrade to 52.0.1 too, but I still see the sidebar & toggle width icon. So it's a mystery why your mileage varies. I'm done trying to figure it out.
