def gives Tabakis or Kann 10 games or so before Guzan gobbles the rest.

I wanna ask how did he do, though conceding 2 goals against a League 1 side is never a positive

TBF, Boro are basically a Championship side, so the divide isn't like the gap between, say Bradford and Arsenal.

Did well to get a hand on their 2nd, not much else he could have done, IMO...but it did spill right into the middle of the 6 yard box for a tap in.

He got down really quick, maybe could have parried it out wide but that's asking alot.

I'm surprised he even got this game. Would have made more sense to use a youth keeper.

Brad starts against Man City for some reason.

EDIT: Because it's the FA Cup, duh.

2-0 should b about 6-0 but for Brad Guzan and his voodoo goal post.

Made 8 saves in a 2-0 loss. Good performance, was mfc.co.uk's Man of the Match, but Boro simply outmatched.

"Their goalkeeper" instead of "Guzan," though. Show respect, Pep, Big Brad has more England experience than you! ;)

I still wish he didn't already sign for Atlanta. I think he could still do a good job at another club.

Well,at least he wouldn't lose a 25 point lead for Atlanta.

same here. though i imagine a big paycut if he went to another league, though he's primed to take a big paycut coming back to MLS.

Eight plus years in England, mostly as a backup. Not surprising to me he'd jump at an MLS offer at this point.

to be fair he was basically an unknown to English fans (as MLS would have been seen as League 1 standards back then). He should have gotten some PT but Friedel was still pretty damn good at AV but eventually he got his chance. Too bad he had to endure that 15-16 season

Guzan made his seventh appearance for Aitor Karanka’s side at the weekend putting in a performance that has seen him hailed as the stand-out goalkeeper of the quarter-finals on the stat website.

The United States international scored an 8.1 as opposed to his opposite number Claudio Bravo who was ranked at 7.2.

WhoScored, which uses over 200 raw statistics calculated live during matches, noted that Guzan made eight saves in the game as Boro were beaten 2-0 by Pep Guardiola’s City at the Riverside

You're fooling yourself if you think this guy is not quality. Only problem was having Dreidel in front of him in one place and Timmy in front of him in another. And finally when he is #1, the defense in front of him was atrocious. His head should be flat for all the times he stood on it for AV. MHO.

he'll always have that 2012-2014 seasons at AV where he was among the top keepers in the league.
