Good thing, at least he can play full 90' with the B team for a while...after all, we all knew this was MAINLY a buy for next season.
this logic only applies to you. he was bought for this season & on... to think they bought him to potentially play in Ligue 2 (while breaking the bank) is strange logic. club and the fans have expectations.. and he better fulfill them by helping Dijon stay in Ligue 1.
No it doesn't...the stuff he's not that delusional to think he can help the team right away, so yes...it's a buy for next season and they know it (as well as we do). Kwon will be a starter from next season, regardless of the league in wich Dijon will play. @nmssis didn't knew Dijon got relegated already, you know...there are still 10 games to go.
give me one actual quote where it states Kwon is mainly for next season. this is just an "excuse" for yourself to make you feel better. he was bought to help the team avoid relegation. they broke the bank to sign him.. no club in their right mind purchases a player for next season while their status is in jeopardy. club & fans have expectations.. you can't ignore it.
It's enough to watch ODO keep on saying that Kwon it's not physically ready, he needs time to adapt to life in France, teammates, ligue 1 etc...and it's something they knew from the begging, or do you think they found out once Kwon first arrived to Dijon? LOL Kwon was so much needed ASAP that he played barely 50 minutes in 3 matches, with a month not playing at all. I tell you wich players are there to help Dijon avoid relegation: Reynet, Abeid, PLM, Diony, Martin etc...and no, Kwon is not one of them.
this is something i stated well before transfer was finalized (not to mention, i also stated it is the worst time for him to join a club in EU). however, this doesn't excuse him nor do expectations go away when a club pays nearly 1.5m euro (according to l'equipe). Kwon CH pressed to join a struggling team.. he fully knew what he was joining. as for players you listed, they were already in the team... Kwon CH was purchased in winter to help team avoid relegation w/ the rest of his teammates. club doesn't waste money (sorry but relegation is huge financial loss) ... especially a small club.. to plan for "next season" while the status of the club is in jeopardy. edit - btw, it is entirely possible Kwon CH could be sold in summer too if Dijon get relegated (not to mention, he might not want to play in Ligue 2 as well). if some ME/Chinese club make good offer, he could be sold to recoup the money
Nah.. Kwon won't be sold, but Diony, Martin (loan ended), PLM and maybe even Reynet are going to be sold for sure, and that is regardless of the league in wich Dijon will play. I listed these players, cause THEY have to carry the team.
why not? they are a small club... not to mention, playing in Ligue 2 doesn't help his cause to make the 2018 WC squad (along with Asian Games afterwards to possibly earn military exemption).
I think if Dijon gets relegated there will still be 2-3 other EU clubs that are interested in him. But takeuchi is right, he isn't a perspective transfer. It's just the bad timing. Korean players are too stupid to think that winter transfer>summer transfer because they don't want to let down their clubs during season. Reality is that especially low table clubs try not experimenting with foreign players who can't speak the language if they have to fight for survival.
it depends. early winter transfer (especially to Germany or leagues w/ winter break) > summer transfer. it allows the player to regain his fitness w/ his teammate (not to mention, it is ideal time for Asian clubs too). the trouble w/ Kwon CH... the transfer dragged on & joined the club in late Jan. I don't fault Kwon CHs decision to press for a transfer to Dijon (EU in general) as it was his only & probably last offer by EU club... however, he has to own up to his decision & take responsibility.
I agree with you. If it was early winter it would have been optimal. But I don't blame him too. I am also optimistic that he will make an impact soon.
Won't be sold cause they invested so much money on him...and Kwon isn't going to join a CSL/ME team just beacuse he's struggling in his initial time in Europe. Could be sold if, and only if, other UE team are going to pay min 1,5 mln € (and that's if Dijon goes down to L2) However, if Dijon survive, there is no way Kwon would leave the team...for any tag fee. I agree with you that playing in L2 won't help him WC squad wise though...
premise was based on Dijon getting relegated to Ligue 2. if they do, the chance of him being sold is high to recoup 1.5m. also, how do you know he won't join CSL/ME? did he close the door (not to mention, club might force him to transfer too)? depending on his exp atm, minds change + "homesickness" is a big factor in players returning early to Asia. edit - btw, Dijon isn't some hot club EU clubs scout regularly. if CSL/ME offer 3-4m euro, its going to be difficult for Dijon to reject the offer. http://www.transfermarkt.com/fco-dijon/rekordabgaenge/verein/2969
I don't know if will be difficult for Dijon to reject a 3-4 mln euro offer for Kwon, it all depends on the financial situation of the club, if Kwon doesn't want to play in the second division and all of that. If Dijon gets enough money by selling their player targeted by other clubs (there are a few), then i can see them rejecting offers for KCH from ME (if Kwon wants to stay)
Some of them might be players they want to keep instead of Kwon too. For example, if Kwon can be sold to ME for 3m (Suwon received 3m offer from ME).. it could allow Dijon to keep other players instead (especially if Kwon continues to only feature for garbage mins.. makes more sense for Dijon).
hmm... i think that's a bit difficult that players like Diony and PLM want to stay with Dijon next season if the club will stay in ligue 1...however, if the club won't stay in ligue 1, chances for Diony and PLM to stay in ligue 2 are 0%. Also i doubt they will find better players than Kwon, if they have to play in ligue 2 next season.
I still find it amazing that KCH wasn't in top fitness while waiting for his dream move to work out. Match fitness is another thing but he should have been ready to go on the training pitch.
