*ahem* soccernutter -- I'm in support of this idea and I'm sure others are as well. Edit - I just now saw a button at the bottom of the forum to temporarily unignore people. This made two threads appear.
Is it just me or is this update now blocking quoted replies? For example, if I ignore someone and their post gets quoted by someone NOT on my list, that second post also is ignored.
Now it's the opposite for me. Any time an ignored user is quoted or quoted a post himself I see his post. wtf is the point?
Yes the blocked poster quoted that post and he's visible to me. I'm not sure what it used to show tbh. I've never really used the ignore list before.
Can others weigh in? I used to see "stop quoting that poster, i have him/her on ignore" all the time.
Not to be facetious, but we can always just use the manual ignore. As grown-ups, unless something someone says is truly offensive (ban worthy), we should be able to let it go. What's the worst that happens by seeing someone's post, your opinion of them gets worse than it already is? I get bringing up the problem as it is a problem with the site. It doesn't deserve immediate attention, maybe just a suggestion to those who are behind the interface of the site.
The mods and super mods advertise it to make their job easier. I've gone about 13 years on this site without using it. I feel the need to use it now. The content I wish to ignore does have some racism and because he's on ignore I can't report the post.
I've heard the same in the past. But now it's not working the same. Imean guessing as a super mods you can't put me on ignore and test yourself?
I see - tapatalk doesn't function the same. We'll have to ask @Janet H about that one since I don't know anything about the apps function - it may be a limit of tapatalk?
I stopped using tapatalk a month or so ago but it wasn't the same issue but there were still issues with ignore.
