I could be wrong but my understanding on Akale is that Tab has tried bringing him in numerous times this cycle but VCF have not allowed him to accept aside from a camp in October '15 and the NTC this past summer. At this point, even if the club would let him go for qualifying and/or the Finals and assuming Tab thought highly of him, as a coach I would think you'd probably need a really good reason for dropping one of your regular guys who has built up a solid understanding of what it is you want from him and how to play with the team due to his been at most of the camps throughout the cycle even if you think Akale has more individual talent.
Maybe, though it's fair to note that several of the attackers who appear to be in the mix (Gonzalez, Taitague, Lewis, Lennon) don't have loads of callups themselves under Tab.
From what I've heard, Gonzalez has done well in camp with the U-20 team. He also received strong recommendations to Tab from Namazi at the U-18 level.
Yes, Villarreal did not release him a few times. But I am also not 100% sure Tab has him in his plans, from what I've heard
