I think this says more about the rest of USMNT than Zim's performance. When your centerback gets MOTM without scoring or doing anything remarkable, I think it just shows how unremarkable the rest of the team was.
I think I'll simply enjoy the fact that Zim got a good game, and a likely second look. Anybody disappointed with the results of the January camp, simply had unreasonable expectations.

Heavy schedule but littered with great clubs. Lanus, San Lorenzo, River Plate... Should definitely test the mettle of FC Dallas and PR in a football-mad nation can only help them.
because i'm sure it'll be asked: There has been no word on any of these games being streamed or broadcasted. My best guess is, if they end up being shown - it'll be something the team announces just before each game.
OFFICIAL: None of the #FCD games in Argentina will be streamed or broadcasted. Highlights hopefully posted afterwards.— 3rd Degree (@3rdDegreeNet) February 7, 2017
Expected, but still sad. Some highlights, game breakdowns, and player notes is the best we can expect. Hopefully a replay or 2 would be nice.
Am I the only one who thinks 7 games in 7 days is too much? I'm worried about guys getting injured. Unless we're going to mostly play 3rd and 4th stringers, academy boys and draft picks.
No trialists on hand. Just the core team, minus the 3 injuries (Diaz, Hohead, Ulloa). The team will hold no practices other than game prep, game planning, and the actual games. So yes, this will be an interesting experiment. The idea is to get everyone on the same page, and accelerate the learning curve under fire. I like it. My only concern is injuries to key personell, as it would slow down integration of new people.

Nice summary of the first preseason game against Lanus. Played 3 40-minute segments: http://www.fcdallas.com/post/2017/02/08/preseason-fc-dallas-falls-1-0-lanus-first-argentina-friendly
