You also included Evans and omitted Rosenberry, who'll be at camp. I think that's all he was saying. But at rb, I do think Rosenberry is better than Spector, or at least will be with little more experience. He's smoother, a more instinctual defender, and at this point I'd say a better athlete. Spector can cross, but I'd also point out that Rosenberry shapes a ball better. Still, I agree Spector should be in camp, for both the experience factor ahead of do or die qualifiers, and versatility. Spector can also double as a d-mid and cb. Those are areas where we need help. So I think he might be a better bet for next camp.
Spector was at United so he had def much more competition there then say Reyna did (but I'm not too familiar with his club career beyond wikipedia). I didn't mean to knock him only that Spector had achieved more club experience in Europe by age 30 then most Americans I can think of. Perhaps if Bradley had stayed in Europe, he might have that title or even Jozy.
Spector's competition for playing time often got injured, giving him playing time. The joke was his mom used voodoo on those players.
Spector played for three games for Man United. Reyna played for 26 when Leverkusen was relevant. Leverkusen was not Manchester United, but they were a Champions League club the year Reyna was signed. Reyna transferred to another Bundelsiga club where he became the first American captain of a top European league club. Despite being a smaller club, he actually guided them to qualify for UEFA Cup competition. Then there is who played more in European competitions. You seem to keep changing the emphasis of the post. First, it was nobody has been in Europe like Spector. Then it was nobody played that much or somebody else was injured so it doesn't count. Now it is nobody started at a club like Man U.
In probably his greatest performance, Spector delivers a brace for West Ham against his old club, Manchester United, booking them a spot in the 2010 Carling Cup semi-finals. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/league_cup/9233755.stm

Normally I would take the bate, but I think you're not wrong here. One of the worst players I have ever seen wear the Arsenal shirt.
Ya. When we played Liverpool yesterday it would have been better to play a man down. He spends more time on the ground and bitching at the ref than he does defending. It's actually remarkable how the prem has made him look like a complete and total geriatric.
One writer is advocating that Hull City consider signing Spector, who is still a free-agent: https://the72.co.uk/124523/five-free-agent-defenders-hull-city-sign/
Jonathan Spector’s career has been a joy of Yanks Abroadology to follow. Can only hope the journey continues
Finally some Spector news! He's training at Hibernian and the club is considering whether to sign him. Hibs is now 6th in the Scottish table. https://www.edinburghnews.scotsman....-american-defender-jonathon-spector-1-4880650
