I thought I'd start a thread to follow this tourny. Bolivia looks fairly decent, but it will be a tough group for them.
I watched Brazil-Ecuador yesterday and I tell ya...those guys do not look 19 years old or under. In fact, this morning the Ecuadorian Federation suspended two players for document forgery and possible age over the limit, and stated that are investigating others.

Let's see what happens on Saturday with Bolivia.

The kids went through some tough times, with Hoyos leaving them high and dry mid preparation. That has got to be a hard pill to swallow, here they are buying into this guy's system and getting ready to go up against the best in the world and he up and leaves. I hope Soria was able to boost morale and they are able to play well.

If he's profile is correct, he most likely watched it on TV as he is in Bolivia. I know they're not televising it in the states, at least no in the programming I have so I'll be checking it out online myself. Hopefully, the boys will perform at a level they can be proud of. I'm hoping they somehow at least qualify to the next and final stage; I can't remember when was the last time they did that (or if they ever did). Vamos Bolivia!

Internet using Apple Play on my TV; not bad at all.
TyC Sports shows the games listed but when I turn to that channel at the time indicated, it has another show on. Must be some kind of regional tv rights.

Only players I recognize from previous tournaments Henry Vaca he's a beast CM but reminds me a lot of Joselito Vaca because of his size. Bruno Miranda I've read a lot about, I've seen a few YouTube clips but i haven't seen him live. Ramiro Vaca I'm excited to see him. I don't know him nor have I seen him play. But I'm a huge fan of his club Quebracho. This club has won several youth tournaments both local in Tarija and nationally. I have seen them produce great players that play in Association teams both in Tarija and norther Argentina. Other then that I have herd the Bolivar goalie is legit. When it comes to formations and tactics I'm in the dark except that Sandy traditionally plays possession with a high line. I don't know if he has evolved into a counterattack mentality which is what I would bet on.

It's going to be a tough road to hoe for Bolivia. Peru (deemed the other weak team), almost surprised Argentina and played really well. I watched part of that game, and Peru would have won if it hadn't been for a goal at the 89th. minute to tie.

I did hear the kid Vaca is very good, other players to watch for are Bolivar's Moises Villaroel, who played in U de Chile w Miranda but was just a few months too young to keep in the team under a new FIFA rule. Bomba Gutierrez's son is also a good one, he plays in Uruguay's Nacional. No doubt we have some talent, the problem will be the limited amount of time we had as a team. I read somewhere that Colombia had been preparing for 10 months and played a a good number of games internationally. Still holding out hope for a surprise qualification to the second round.
If I recall correctly the last time a Bolivian youth team passed to the second round was the U 17 with Samuel Galindo and Gilbert Alvarez and Justiniano( Bolívar now) on the team, don't remember the year.

Watching the game and we don't look too bad. Especially if this is the same Peru that almost beat Argentina.

    2-0 win.
We looked good, guys. Compact in defense and with good attacking spurs from Villarroel, Monteiro and Gutierrez.
Typical Mauricio Soria style of football. Made me remember how we played in Copa America in Chile.
Hopefully this is not a fluke but the beginning of things turning around some!

I saw only the first half. Your right, very compact defending. I like the way our team moves as a unit. And our goalie was solid. I hope it's not as usual that our goalie is the teams MVP.

My bad. I just saw this but I'm glad you saw it. Only saw the 1st half and was happy to see a solid game from them. My dad said the second half was better and the goals were precise, "goals that the older team would screw up on", he said. Hahaha. Hopefully, they don't evovle into the older NT, which is why I hope the core remain outside of Bolivia.

Only saw highlights, but from what I read that Kid Gutierrez is the truth. He set up the second goal beautifully, and another that Monteiro couldn't finish. I hear one of our defenders got a concussion and had to come out of the game, if it really was that, then we may not see him back for the rest of the tournament, hope it was just a scare. As for the team the seem to be more confident now than previous years, hats off to Soria. Argentina's next, it would be amazing to get a good result.

I found another option the quality is much better but it's TyC Sports; I don't mind it and I think that's the official televisor of the tourney.

Rojadirecta.es has a couple of very good streams of TyC, you just have to put up with the usual arrogance of its argentinian broadcasters. Last night in particular.
Well, the real Bolivia showed up last night...making all kinds of mistakes on defense, "respecting" the other team too much, and with our typical inferiority complex when we play Argentina. We looked like a completely different team than the one that played Peru.
This psychological roadblock is systemic and someone has to see it. Azkargorta saw it, brought to the light and did something back in 1993 and it made a huge difference. Time to do the same with these young guys.

All things considered I'm not as disappointed with last nights result. This kids have everything against them, they are the team with least amount of preparation(Colombia has been training with the same core of kids since last year including playing friendlies) they had a change of coaches in the last weeks. Let's not forget our best player in this category got injuries (Gamarra). I see a lot of raw talent and athleticism in the squad with more work and time we could have a solid squad. Last nights performance was typical result of a poor practiced team. Hopefully we can beat Venezuela and tie with Uruguay. Peru is out and we have a solid chance to move to the next round.

Shocking 1st half. Not playing like a team or even as individuals. If Venezuela isn't winning is because they don't want too. Mirranda and Gutierrez aren't creating because all the Bolivia is playing long balls. We have good height in the back but clumsy defending. I think we have 5-6 yellow cards and we aren't finishing with 11 players. No midfield only long balls. SHOCKING!!!

First the stream was awesome so thanks for the link. The game was DISAPPOINTING! Mirranda is overrated and acts like his already a superstar. We had 3 goals in the net. But between Mirranda and De Lima they were able to mess it up. In my eyes the best player was the CB Carrasco he was everywhere in the back and in the right place to stop what should have been a goleada from the Venezuelans. Gutierrez was a ghost the goalie should of gotten a red card we had several yellows that should of turned into red. Very undisciplined, slow. The kid R. Vaca had moves but it was at such a slow pace that the other team was all over them. R. Vaca reminded me of Castro from The Strongest. I don't want to see them play but I must. Wow can't believe it's the same team that played earlier.
