Kwon Chang-hoon's story since last year (2016):
    • RB Salzburg first comes to show that they want to sign Kwon -> The offer was below Suwon's ideal fee & most importantly Kwon did not want it either. This was just before Rio Olympics.
    • He wanted military exemption and dreamed to go to a better club with better offer (but that did not work out obviously) and he always suffered injury set back if you all remember.
    • So then came the UAE, Qatar, Chinese clubs with their money -> their offers were above the expectations of Suwon's ideal fee for Kwon but Kwon refused immediately. "Only Europe before military service" is his dream now.
    • Then 2016 season finished and Kwon came back, eventually helping Suwon avoid relegation & win FA Cup. With 1 year remaining on his contract, Suwon wanted renew 3 years to his contract and help him move to Europe next year.
    • But then came Dijon (who were just rumors before) with actual offers and you know the rest.
It is reported that this transfer will be official soon. The reason for delay of official shirt holding is maybe because of the weekends.

There wasn't next year for Kwon. I don't buy this, unless they meant next summer.

lol i can already imagine their transfer expectations, so glad he didn't renew shit.

Well, this is from Suwon's official homepage. They say goodbye and states that they have agreed on a fee. Kwon will leave Korea today and is expected to do a medical test as soon as he arrived in Dijon.

Then it's a more reliable source. I'm so excited, i hope he does well with Dijon...even though i don't except him to make a big impact right away.

Aww I kind of feel sad for Suwon fans for some reason. They really liked him a lot and they're happy for him but at the same time sad to let them go.

I hope Ulsan also produce a player good enough for Europe in the future :')

These are the list of Korean footballers who played in France:
    • Seo Jung-won
    • Lee Sang-yoon
    • Ahn Jung-hwan
    • Uh Kyung-joon
    • Kang Jin-wook
    • Cho Won-kwang
    • Park Chu-young
    • Nam Tae-hee
    • Jung Jo-gook
    • Jung Chung-geun
And the first player to have played in Ligue 1 was none other Seo Jung-won himself. I wonder what sort of advice he gave to Kwon.

Hopefully he succeed and open more opportunity for Korean players in ligue 1. I wouldn't mind seeing some younger players there.

I think Ligue 1 will be a good league for him, it should not be as hard as the Bundesliga, and hopefully his team does not get relegated.

I think he should play in a french top team to really "open the doors".

Nope he just needs to do well in Dijon and I'm sure other lower and mid table team would be willing to sign a Korean player.

Still won't be as good as playing in a top team. Just do well in a small team it's not enough for me.

starting their European career in France can be beneficial to many players imo. They might not be able to break it into the Bundesliga right away, but they might have better chance in ligue 1. I think Ligue 1 is a good league for young players.

    Sad to see him go.
Meanwhile I wish nothing but best of luck.
He definitely needs to have some success so that there will be more opportunities for future Suwon products.
