Interesting to read the vicious comments made by these Swansea fans about Bob when you have a totally different experience and respect for the man and what he accomplished here in Chicago and Norway and the USA and Egypt. I hope its not representative of the Swans' fandom and just reflects the club's few iron69 types.
The way Swansea are playing, even before Bob took over was abysmal. I don't think they can save themselves from relegation. If they do get relegated I expect them to be in League One within three seasons.
No, the anti-Allardyce. Bradley was hired with Swansea in the relegation zone and, 11 games later, they still are, so Bob has to go. Allardyce is brought when teams are in the relegation zone and, juuuuust barely manages to avoid them. For Crystal Palace, they have been hanging out in 17th for months.
Swansea doomed themselves when they sacked Laudrup. I get that you need to win but these clubs don't see overall pictures or hindsight. Chelsea have won 4 BPL titles with 2 managers. Their 2 CL finals were both with temp managers when those 2 managers were let go. Changing managers may light a spark but overall it doesn't matter. They just want to survive so they can collect the BPL TV money.
Reading the comments by Swans fans and others not only does the team suck with a shitty back line, there is a distinct anti American sentiment and the perception BB was unqualified in addition to inheriting a shitty team, a lack of patience and good will, nor respect from supporters nor the locker room and not even having a single transfer window to improve the team, this was a doomed situation for anyone. Meanwhile people saying the club should have hired a more experienced manager and simultaneously mentioning Giggs (who has no experience) tells me all I need to know. I hope Bob can score a gig in the Championship and get a team promoted and make a big "Fvkc YOU!" return to the sucky EPL.
Well, Americans aren't a "race". Let's just say that the Welsh took a hard learnt cue from Edward Longshanks and Hammered the Yanks all over the land.
I wish.... but I don't think any English club, at any level, wants to face the fan reaction that would ensue from bringing in an American. No matter what.
The day will come when an American who played in the a top 4 league (La Liga, PL, 1BL, Serie A) & had an upward trajectory as a coach would be accepted as well as anyone else. When someone like Brad Friedel, Brian McBride, or David Wagner has a good run coaching if hired there should be few beefs about them as Americans. Bradley lacked that Euro top flight playing visibility that would have given him legitimacy.
100% agree but given his and jozys tenure, American perspective didn't improve unfortunately despite it being out of his control Personally I'd wish more Americans skip out on epl all together and work their way thru bundesliga instead
Bob would have been better not to have taken the job in the first place. Jozy Altidore can suck it. Well, he just sucks anyway.
That's either really clever by some Brit's standards or that was the last time Wales was relevant on Earth.
I'm sure Bob's having a good chuckle about Swansea's 3-0 defeat at the hands of league power ( ) Bournemouth. I know I am.
