He is aging player thats sure. In his best period I bet HE choice EPL or Bundesliga etc.

Current Tuncay can make vital help for his new team achievement,..ie: Asia Champions League and Local League journey.

He is a warrior type player with plays passion, spirit, agressivnes, winning motivations and alongside his huge experience from his old clubs and NT playing time.

Over all, Many were shock to see him leave the current club. Evin at this age He got other offer from some mid table bundes clubs, but he choice the this destinations and Thats for sure duo to Umm Salal's head coach relationship/frendship with the Tuncay that has got 100%100 role in the sign. <>Bulent Uygun.
    They played same club before.

    Anyway.

I hope He success in his new club. He is a good lad that I know him from Middlesbrough era.

Congrats to the Umm Salal for sign.

    Regards,

How much money will you give to the referee for the game against China?
    Serious question!

Meh bit of a bump here but the season is starting to wind down here in Qatar, and went to my first local game in ages here in Doha, where Al Sadd defeated Al Rayyan in the Emir Cup semifals 3-2 and will meet Lekhwiya in the final, who downed El Jaish in the other semi. Turned out to be a rather good game, 5 goals, last minute missed penalty, brawl at the end, and former Barca + Spain legend Xavi on the pitch.

After spending a season in the 2nd division, Al Rayyan have bounced straight back up to win the Qatar Stars League at a canter. However, El Jaish took the Crown Prince Cup (competed by the top 4 teams in the league) + we'll now have a different Emir Cup champion between Al Sadd + Lekhwiya.

DOHA: Qatar football coach Jose Carreno on Saturday outlined his
team’s busy schedule in the coming months, saying the team will
kick off proceedings with a friendly against Albania later this
    month.

Carreno announced a batch of 27 players that will assemble after the
Emir Cup final on May 20 and get ready for the Albania friendly on May 29
    in Austria.

“We have a busy schedule in the coming weeks. We will be trying to get
ready for the next stage of the World Cup qualification by playing as many
friendlies as possible,” Carreno said on Saturday.

Qatar open the third stage of the Asian Zone, Group A, qualifiers with
an away game against Iran on September 1.

“Right now we are looking for teams who we could play in August.
Surely there will be two or three friendlies played in the middle of
    August,” Carreno said.

Akram Afif became the first Qatari player to play in La Liga, enjoying his first match in the league against Athletic Bilbao! Iranian fans made fun of Afif, saying he was bought just for business reasons, not footballing talent. However he proved that he's better than every Iranian player by making an appearance in the best league in the world. :)

Three to date. One of them specifically an Osasuna club legend. Akram Afif came in for 17 minutes. Lets see what he becomes. I do hope Qatar play him against us so we can make use of his inexperience.

No body made fun of Afif. All we said was he is from Tanzanian origin not Qatari and we don't know anything about him yet. Don't make stuffs up and repeat it here and there. It is obvious you are not Qatari, but nice try.

Akram Afif played 30 minutes against Atletico Madrid yesterday. Nice to see that he keeps earning playing time in the best league in the world. I can't wait for his first goal! :)

Good job. You still have a long way to go to equal Nekounam's 149 and Shojaei's 100 La Liga match appearances for Osasuna. :)

well, attended my first QSL match of the season last night. And it turned out the "Qatar classico" turned into "Qatar Smashico". What is ironic though is that one of the architects of the original El Smashico happened to be on hand for the Qatar version.... Xavi got the critical third goal and was instrumental as Al Sadd beat Al Rayyan 5-0 to move within a point of league leaders Al Jaish, who are looking to win their first ever title.

December is turning out to be a great footballing month here in Qatar with Barcelona visiting next week to play Saudi champions Al Ahly, and then the Italian Supercoppa between Juventus and AC Milan taking place just before Christmas.
