Never heard a sweeter sounding word than Feyenoord part 2

Discussion in 'The Netherlands' started by feyenoordsoccerfan, Jun 4, 2012.

  1. The first goal wasnot Renato's fault, but of the referee for not punishing Roony for pushing Tapia over. The goal should never have been allowed. We should have taken at least two goals from the chances we got We didnot and after the phony goal we had to open up more and then the missing players, especially Kongolo and El Ahmadi, were vital to the loss. The score was too high for this match.
    No riots for a change.

  2. Points given away with personal mistakes. Thursday fatigue kicking in?

Feyenoord seems to traditionally swoon after the winterstop. Maybe they're just starting early this season.

  4. Donot count your blessings yet, PSV woke up in time to blast you december the 19th:D

Oh, my team still employs Davy Klaassen. I'm not counting any blessings!

  6. Oh dear...The council of Rotterdam is in agreement with Feyenoord about the Feyenoord City development plan.
I donot read anything about the drinkwater hub that should be moved at a cost of at least 300 million and also nothing about the costs of the moving of the businesses in that stretch that donot want to move at all.
Billionair Cees de Bruin is the one that drives the plan ahead, but he hasnot got enough money to tackle the problems I mentioned.
TNO (iirc) has qualified the structure of the "Kuip" as safe and solid, so from that point of view refurbishment and upgrading it isnot stupid. I used to be willing to give the new built a chance, but I am retreating from that stance.

So you are saying the new stadium is nothing but a fantasy now?

  8. I mistakenly swapped the Mayor and City Counsel Members with the City/Town Counsil. It is now up to the City/Town Counsil to decide if this plan goes forward.
To answer your question: I donot get they brush aside the two problems I mentioned with the over a billion €€ plan, which is composed of a city development part and the build of the stadium.
The drinkwaterhubproblem is discussed in this article:
    http://www.ad.nl/dossier-rotterdam/buis-op-zuid-wordt-flinke-kluif~a08fd516/
So it isnot a fantasy, because it is now just one station from take off, but there are some major issues to be solved. The price of the stadium itself makes me choke, more expensive than the Bayern stadium. I rather go the Barcelona/Real Madrid way of upgrading the "Kuip", now it is clear that it is structurally in a very good condition.
But I'm afraid there are some people that want to leave a legacy in the form of an iconic building.

  9. So today it is the derby day in the only derby city in the low lands (including Belgium?). Only in the EPL they have a derby city with more than 2 clubs involved.

Feyenoord with a nice 6-1 win over Sparta today. They are finally taking long range shots rather than always going for the cross and header. Vilhena hit the first long ranger and Toornstra the second (which could be goal of the season). Jorgensen with a brace, and goals from Elia and Botteghin also.

Yeah we have been so much more fun to watch now we have a striker who isnt exclusively an immobile ''box'' striker so to say with the endless RB to box crosses. Karsdorp made mistakes today on the ball in a RB playmaking way, which is fine with me as he is talented and young, gotta make those mistakes to learn from them and this is a good game for it, but he does have to learn.

A lot of chemistry between the players, apart from the start and perhaps finish of the second half, El Ahmadi and Vilhena were really awesome breaking up play in the opponents half. Elia real good too, even vdHeijden was excellent.

Fun game, great goals, thanks Sparta!

really think Jens toornstra should be starting for NT. his workrate is SOMEWHAT like that of kuyt both defensively and offensively. I have him above klaassen whom Danny has used all over the park. has being consistent in front of goal for feyenoord and also in assists. 5 goals and 7 assist I think.

Is this €400M for the new stadium on the water? If so, LOL. I don't think they can bring this in for that price.

  16. Well, I only was able to watch the last 10 minutes of the Fenerbace match and got the impression there was no believe anymore to be able to reach the next round. Also watched the highlights of the AZ - Zenith match. Coming sunday will be an interesting match.

  17. Well, surprisingly the match didnot get interesting for the neutral soccerfans (for Feyenoord fans it was, as it showed we are indeed the best team in the league) and the only thing to complain about was the missed number of chances. Ajax sucked (though Younes showed some fancy moves) and in the dying seconds got what it deserved, 3 points loss. Next weekend best thing is a draw between PSV and Ajax.
Now what is it about the Africa cup? Are both Feyenoord and Ajax loosing their best man for how long?

I think Ziyech already said he is not going to play in the competition. He may try to send Klaassen in his place!

  19. For a change they also stopped sucking earlier:)

  20. Just watched Studio Voetbal and Hooijdonk has the opinion that Feyenoord must sign new players in the winterstop. He mentioned Heerenveen's Larsson and AZ's Haps. It would be nice, but is it absolutely necesary at the moment?

Larsson? sure, but Haps? why? He is decent, but Feyenoord already has good backs.
    Feyenoord needs a Ziyech.

I think Ayoub could do good things for the Feyenoord midfield

  23. That's not possible to stay here. If he's not injured and he doesnot give up playing for the national team he is obligated to go under the threat of suspension for a couple of competition matches.

I wonder if he regrets choosing that team yet
