If his father is Chinese, how come he is Japanese? does he have a Japanese mother, or his family are immigrants in Japan?

(I actually posted this in the wrong thread since there's a separate thread for "huaqiao/diaspora" players)

His father is a Chinese footballer who played for Kawasaki Frontale in the 90s and married a Japanese woman. They settled in the Kawasaki area and Takahiro (the son) grew up in Japan. The kid could have taken either Chinese or Japanese citizenship (but not dual nationality, as I understand PRC forbids this even for minors), but for obvious matters of daily convenience the parents chose to have him take Japanese nationality. The father is still a Chinese citizen and works as a professional club manager in China.

Wei Shihao scored in extra time in a 2-1 win over Oriental Lisboa in the Cup on the 21st. He then started and played the full 90 minutes in a 1-1 draw again Santa Clara on the 28th. His team are still in the relegation zone.

Ning Weichen of Cova Piedade played his first game as an 80th minute substitute in a 2-1 loss against Famalicao on the 28th

Wei Shihao scored the winning goal against Penafiel in stoppage time. I think it´s his first goal for Leixoes, atleast in the league.

Its official, West Bromwich bought Zhang Yuning from Vitesse and loaned him to SV Werder Bremen for 2 years. Respect for turning down the big money from the CSL!

Pizzaro has left the club. Johannsson is constantly benched. Seems that Bremen have been playing a 2 forward formation with Bartels and Kruse up top.

Cant find any info on that. Probably out of the squad cuz he´s not good enough. He barely got any playing time last year at Vitesse and Werder Bremen is at least on par if not better than them.

Zhang scored in yet another friendly, a 2-0 win against Korona Kielce. Bremen signed another striker in Belfodil tho, so i highly doubt Zhang will get much, if any, playing time this season

Werder Bremen has scored 3 goals in 7 games, their strikers has scored ZERO goals. Why not try Zhang?
