But so far I've only managed to grow a few sporadic hairs here and there. So it looks like there are still missing parts to the whole formula, except I cant figure out what those are

Maybe you need to add a little finasteride to help with the minoxidil!

I would have to take it in a pill, because topical finasteride isnt commercially available yet.
It also has bad side-effects for some people.

Anyways, this whole baldness cure is just a hobby of mine. My hair is thinning, but I'm not bald yet.
My goal is to stop it and/or regrow some hair

  5. Why do you bother to make keratine yourself? I recently watched a programm on the Dutch tv about bread. They bakers use keratin for their bread and it seems that against all regulations to use human remains ( in this case human hair) they use keratine produced in China that is made of human hair. Seems to be pretty cheap.

I bake bread twice a week and read a number of bread blogs. What they are referring to is the amino acid l-cysteine which is derived from keratin and other sources as well. It's mainly used as a flavor enhancer for commercial breads who need to manufacture on tight time schedules. Most of us tho bake artisan breads don't need this as we have other techniques that use only flour, water, salt and yeast to do the same thing.

That keratin would probably not be in the right molecular range that I need

See my post right above. What is being produced is one of the amino acid components of keratin, cysteine. It is the amino acid that is responsible for the disulfide linkages in keratin that give it structure.

Its actually L-Cystine. L-Cysteine is the free form amino acid:

You are confusing the pure amino acid with the sulfide linked dimer. Cysteine is used as a flavor enhancer in bread (I have never used it). It is also used to prevent certain aspects of aging but those are unproven

But this is what they are going to have to face in the Group Stage. I was ready to watch the match but no streams in the US.:(

  22. The Orange lionesses are in the final of the Algarve Cup, which seems to be a big thing. Dunno against whom they play.
They wacked WC finalist Japan in the process of getting there with 6-1.

They play Sweden for the championship. The Cup is not as good this year as there is a competing tournament in the US where both USA and Germany are playing.
