Not much of a loss there. I don't know what kind of impact he had on loan to Tulsa. Going from 2nd round MLS pick to barely getting time in USL must be pretty disheartening.
Ok I was looking and I didn't see it. He said on facebook he is really happy to be coming back to California. As long as he keeps his temper in check and doesn't shove the officials like he did in college, he will be good.
I found some more info on ICS. Barrera is under a two-year contract, so he's returning, barring a chance to move up. ICS also reports the club has options on Motagalvan, Alvarez & Foran Adding Minter to the out column, courtesy @TallGoalie.
Guzman to STL, hooking back up with Preki Thank you Tavo Guzman for being such a wonderful member of our club and Indomitable City! We wish you the best on your next adventure! pic.twitter.com/3znFcJjpP5— Sacramento Republic FC (@SacRepublicFC) November 22, 2016
****. Sounds like Kiffe to St. Louis too. Guzman posted on his instagram account and there's a comment from Kiffe on it. "You are going to love it here son." https://instagram.com/p/BNIeh3fgffQ/
Guess I called that right, murkovic and guzman - didn't see Kiffe going there though. Any sign of braun or Vukivic going?
Da Fonte resigns for 2017. According to the presser he was the club's second leading goal-scorer. Hard to imagine, but now that I think about it... http://www.uslsoccer.com/news_article/show/727644?referrer_id=2364194-news-archive
We've inked another lad from across the pond. Tyler Blackwood is a F who scored eight goals (all in league play) in 26 appearances with Arizona United last season. He's also logged some minutes with QPR and in the English 4th division. I assume he'll count against one of our international slots but don't know that for sure. http://www.sacrepublicfc.com/news/2016/11/29/srfc-sign-blackwood
Tommy Thompson got released. Hoping Sac picks him up if no other MLS clubs grab him The #Quakes74 declined the contract options of nine players, including those of midfielders Tommy Thompson and Marc Pelosi. #MLS— Robert Jonas (@robertjonas) December 2, 2016
TT? Idiots. I'm sure he latches on somewhere in MLS. Pelosi might have an interesting decision to make, based on his injury history.
A team source confirmed that both Tommy Thompson and Marc Pelosi are in advanced contract talks to return to the @SJEarthquakes next season.— Robert Jonas (@robertjonas) December 2, 2016
Gabe Gissie is back in the fold: http://www.sacrepublicfc.com/news/2016/12/03/srfc-re-signs-gissie He didn't do a lot in Bethlehem last year. Eighteen games; 690 mins; 14 shots; eight SOG and one goal scored. Still, here's more speed to go on the wing or up top and he's only just turned 21.
I didn't rate him when we had him and obviously neither did Bethlehem, buckle saw a lot of potential and a fans fave but I question his loyalty. Anyone know how Daly did there?
Thompsons release from sj is official, can't see another mls team picking up but he'd be great for us if we can afford him or if he's willing to take a massive pay cut
He's supposed to re-sign with 'Quakes. I think another MLS team would pick him up if available. He's still a kid practically. I bet there are those that think SJ giving up on him means nothing.
Sacramento Republic FC Sign Sierra Leone Native Lamin Suma Not a Brit? Winger who last played for Philadelphia Fury, a professional team that is currently sanctioned by the amateur USASA? Don't ask me, I don't pretend to understand. He's bounced around from premier league in Sierra Leone to 2nd & 3rd divisions in Europe.
