Then there's the basic premise of why on earth if you considering someone or something so horrible, would you copy it.

AO gets beer thrown on it even in their own sections. I can't imagine what would happen if American fans sat in Mexicos hardcore fan section. The Mexico fans doing it in Colombus are purposefully antagonizing us. I have no problem with them in the general admission section or of course the designated Mexico fan section. Beer throwing may be harsh, but some measures need to be taken in removing them from AO sections.

I'm not sure they are all purposefully antagonizing us. The few I saw were just watching the game and it was easy to ignore them. If they were getting in people's faces that's an entirely different thing. If there's no FIFA or concacaf rule stopping an mls type rule of no away gear in a supporters section that seems reasonable. I really didn't see that many this year

I don't think they are dumb so as to not understand where they are sitting. They know what they are doing.

  7. Your federation is responsible for this.

I would not want to sit next to an AO member on the train .. much less for a game ... (and I take the 'L' daily...so my tolerance for having deplorables adjacent to me is very high)

... but if your federation makes demand high by lowering the supply....¯\_(ツ)_/ ¯

Make the two end zones only available to us supporters club members and american outlaw, block the sections for ticketmaster re-sales, tickets must go thru official us supporters club or AO. Thats how many mls clubs control the ticket sales to supporters sections.

Is AO allowed to self police and prevent certain people from entering a section? I am not sure if legally you are allowed to stop anyone from entering a certain section due to their shirt...

Agree with all the points, really fun atmosphere!

The only other thing I would say about the stadium is they should consider adding about 50- 100 porta - pottys around the lower section of the stadium like they did to the main entrance gate. There were huge lines going to each bathroom even 1.5 hours before kickoff. There were many men who couldnt hold it post game and just peed in the tree area outside the lower sections within the stadium...

the legality of it is a good question, but that's exactly what they do in Philly. you either take off/ cover your shirt or you get reassigned.

I wasn't even allowed to walk past the Timbers Army section, on the concourse, wearing a Philly shirt

Agreed, and I'm not suggesting this is an easy fix. AO couldn't fix this on their own. US Soccer and the host venue have to want to address this as well, or else nothing will happen

I'm a pretty liberal guy, but that's silly. Small dicks are fair game. That guy would really not have liked what I was yelling for 90 minutes. Maybe I was raised wrong or something, but I think yelling obscenities at the opposing players is what you are supposed to do.

The banter between the fans was pretty.... heated I guess, but in weird way good natured. It's not personal. I did get pissed when Mexico scored and the beer shower ensued but then when the US scored it was 20 times worse.

Had an excellent time, once again the Mexican fans were fun to hang out with, and everyone seemed to keep the rivalry civilized.

Disappointed in the result, as well as my car being broken into during the game and losing my stereo. That was a bummer.

Just provide plenty of notice that you are in a supporters section, and there are rules about sitting in that section, just like there are rules governing every section in the stadium. There is then no issue with kicking people out for wearing the wrong colors. And they can always buy a USA shirt at the merch shop if needed.

I saw a guy and his like ten year old daughter. I doubt he was trying to start shit with his daughter. Most of them probably wanted to get in the stadium anyway they could and bought tickets on vivid or Stubhub or whatever.

By the way, to the complaint on how long it took to get out after the match...

There was an accident on 71-s that blocked two lanes and caused a significant backup. That long exit isn't the norm.

There are an extra few thousand seats at these games than normal. The lower level South Bleachers (behind the goal and scoreboard) are temporary, as well as the bleachers on the stage at the North End.

At a typical Crew game even with big numbers, the restrooms on the floor level especially by the South Stands, are not used as much.

I wasn't at the North End by the stage this time around, but last USA/Mexico they did have portable toilets set up underneath those stands.

They charge enough at these games to rent a few more port-a-potties. I saw the huge lines outside the stadium and then once I was inside the lines were even longer. I chose not to buy a beer as a result since I didn't want to miss any of the game, and in my section the beer guy seemed frustrated that no one was buying before the game. I wonder how many others avoided the beer and how much beer revenue was lost as a result.

  25. They are not used to 25k showing up ...
That getting out of the parking log was a joke, I was all the way to the front and it took 25min ... and yeah... saw the accident on the expressway....

Either way, lack of traffic management.
