Massive jeers at full time. 4 Inter games this season and not one good performance. I do not know what De Boer is thinking of with that woeful lineup. I do not envisage De Boer lasting much longer if performances do not drastically improve. That was absolutely abysmal.
The problem with that is consistency and morale. Candreva, Jovetic, Perisic and Handanovic have all expressed their discontent with how management dealt with Mancini and leaving so little time to train with FdB. FdB also stated the team was not physically ready nor was there enough time to properly acquire a good fullback. If we continue the carousel then I get the feeling players will just leave(and rightly so). FdB should stay until November and if things are looking dire on both fronts then at that point it would be appropriate to cut him lose.
Inter spent a lot of money in the transfer window yet they neglccted to address their weaknesses in defence. I still do not understand why that area of the team was not reinforced expecially defensive area yet a lot money was spent in the attacking front. I do not think there is any clear stategy in transfers and a plan to get the club in a competitive state. The transfers seem so hap-hazard.
Hapoel Beer Sheva played Olympiakos twice without allowing a goal in Champions League Qualifying Round 3.
If you read the BS Ajax forum going back a couple years, de Boer was not too well thought of for a variety of reasons. A leopard doesn't change his spots. Capello may be waiting in the parking lot.
I remember Massimo Moratti at one time reality wanted Capello at Inter but not gong cane of it. I'm thinking it was because of Don Fabio's AC Milan past but am not sure...
He does have a relative low termination fee of 1.5 mill but it would still be baffling considering that the club was following FdB for "years". As for Capello, falvo is right. Capello has stated several times that he would not take over inter but hey money talks and chinese money is quite talkative these days.
I'm sure money talks and times change. Capello is now 70 years old though and as it is with players, there is no stopping father time.
Finally played more like a team. Banega is a class act and I can't wait to see J.Mario get even better with this team. I do have to say juve played rather poorly especially in that area in front of their defenders. Credit to everyone who pressed hard. Big win for FdB but I do have to question putting in Melo instead of Kond. Regardless great win!
Most likely, if we build on this win and play like we did today he's safe until forever. That being said I think EL is going to be a particular challenge due to there being a different squad for those games. It will be interesting to see if he can bring out the best out of those players and still manage a good run in serie A.
Joao Mario looked extremely good. Good buy so far. Benega played better further up the field. The team really pressed Juventus and was in control of the match. Lots of attacks from the wings. I think Perisic should have started. His runs into the box were causing havok. The team looked a lot more cohesive then previously.
Peresic has a slight muscle strain so FdB probably didn't want to risk starting him. After the Hapoel game the thinking by some was ... same old Inter - the manager is on the ropes. But as Medel or Benega (I forget who) said after the game, this is a whole new team and these new guys know how to win. We'll see if that proves true and how much patience the Chinese have. BTW, the game set a record for ticket revenue - 4M euros and almost a full house 76000+. http://www.sempreinter.com/2016/09/19/inter-juve-sets-ticket-sale-record/
J.Mario will be the best buy of the season. So confident on the ball which is impressive at his age. Kinda wish I could say the same about Kond who is pretty much 2nd string now. Hate to say it but we have no good back up for Medel: Banega, J.M, Kond, Brozo are all better suited as CM's leaving only Melo to fill that gap. Regardless we dominated Empoli in the first half and we continued being a team from the juve game. 2nd half everyone slowed down but kudos to our defense which dealt with almost everything and Batman only had 2-3 real shots to deal with. Hoping to see Gabigol vs Bologna on sunday.
FdB has lost patience with Kond and rightly so. He keeps losing the ball and holding on to it for way too long which would be okay if he had the skill of Banega but sadly he does not. Probably will be loaned or sold by this summer. Could have won this game but progression wise the team is improving so that's a positive.
Kondogbia's last 3 coaches all had the same opinion about his foolishly losing the ball in bad areas. It's not easy getting rid of somebody that cost 30M with 4 years left on his contract. But the Chinese didn't lay out the 30M so maybe it wouldn't bother them to take half that.
He also lacking a bit of speed and doesn't go for the simple pass. It will be a turning point for him whether or not he will follow FdB's orders and it is true it would be quite difficult to get anything close to 30mill for him at the moment. Could lure him off to the chinese league with high wages
Not surprised with the result to be honest, I saw the starting line up and didn't bother to watch the game. Our 2nd string is just not good enough to beat minnows, sad but true. Until we get the likes of Melo, Frog, DD'A out and replaced with better quality we will not have a true squad capable of competing in more than one front.
