62' 1-0 France subs in (1 of 3) #14 Louisa Nécib Cadamuro for #15 Élise Bussaglia.

Karchaoui overhits a pass to 6-left foot, Labbé stops with feet and waits 8 more seconds until Le Sommer runs 20m to challenge.

64' 1-0 Matheson(?) quick chip from midfield right toward arc top for Sinclair, M'Bock Bathy wins it.

66' 1-0 France chip to 5m center, Labbé catches, Zadorsky almost arm-tackles her. (oh that was a hug -- n/m)

69' 1-0 Canada subs in (2 of 3) #6 Deanne Rose for #8 Diana Matheson.

69' 1-0 Rose darts down wide right past Karchaoui to 15m, ground cross misses Sinclair at 17m mid-right, continues to 15m center -- finally poked away.

71' 1-0 Bélanger trips Majri down at 25m wide left. Foul, yellow card on Bélanger.

    78' 1-0 Canada through-ball to Rose at 35m centerline -- just offside?

80' 1-0 Majri drives to 12m mid-left, cross to 6-top right post for Thomis jumping -- just over her head. France control at 4m mid-right, shoot into right side netting.

81' 1-0 Canada subs in (3 of 3) #5 Rebecca Quinn for #13 Sophie Schmidt.

83' 1-0 Canada right ck, to 3m 5-left. Sinclair jumps with Henry(?), muffs a header but it rolls right down their torsos. Henry collects, passes wide right.

84' 1-0 Thomis juggles ball at 22m wide left, Bélanger butt-bumps her down. Foul, yellow card on Bélanger.

84' 1-0 France subs in (3 of 3) #11 Claire Lavogez for #4 Sakina Karchaoui.

84' 1-0 Cadamuro fk at 22m wide left, right instep inswing to 6-top, Labbé punches clear. France dump it back in, Labbé catches.

85' 1-0 Beckie and Henry both slide to ball at circle top box left. Foul, yellow card on Henry.

87' 1-0 France longball to 25m arc right, Renard flick-heads it on, Bélanger(?) heads away. Majri drives to arc top box left, cross cleared. Fleming high punt from circle back left to Rose at 30m box right -- Cadamuro(?) misses an interception try. Rose dribbles to arc top wide right, poor ground cross easily cleared.

89' 1-0 France serve to arc top left, Renard back-heads down to 8m 1/3 right, Labbé beats Le Sommer to it.

90' 1-0 Sinclair passes up wide left, Beckie offside. +3'.

90+1' (of +3') 1-0 Houara chases up right touch, can't keep ball in. Canada left throw-in, Sinclair centers to Rose. Foul or high kick?

90+1' (of +3') 1-0 France fk at circle center, Bouhaddi sails it to 14m 1/3 left. Canada clear, outlet to Rose, she rambles alone up wide right. Houara (on the left!) tiredly closes her down at 5m wide right, pokes ball over endline.

90+2' (of +3') 1-0 France dig ball out of own left corner, break across midfield. Canada poke into far touch.

90+3' (of +3') 1-0 France right throw-in at midfield, backward. Longball to 6-top 3-right, Buchanan heads into far touch -- or over? Before the ck ...

    FT 1-0  S23.Canada-Germany!

And, just like that, Canada becomes one of the faves to win the tournament.

I have a hunch it's going to be Brazil though.

She should encourage some of her teammates to do the same. Or else it's more disappointment in every tournament for this squad of talented players.

Not a fan of Necib, but it's a bit sad to see her and quite a few players' national career end like this.

France and Japan play the prettiest women's soccer. But pretty doesn't win games.

Ask Argentina on the men's side.

Futbol lovers need to learn how to win matches. Both teams had one shot on goal.

    Canada made theirs count.

I've been hyping Ashley Lawrence as the best player of the tournament. How good was she in this game?
