Ahli started making moves almost before everyone else, and they already have a good squad to begin with. Bringing Gomes will make them a serious title contender for all the titles again, but I'm not sure about ACL.

Hilal made some very good signings too. The financial struggle could explain the lack of similar signings in last season. Osama Housawi & Abdulmajeed Alrowaili could be two of the top 5 transfers by the end of next season.

Nassr already have a good group of local players, if they succeeded in bringing the right 3 foreigners (strangely they failed to do that even when they won the league twice) then I can see them challenging Ahli & Hilal for the title.

Ittihad is a mess right now and I don't know what's happening inside the club. 299 million debt?! Unbelievable .

I dont think Gomes is a title winning coach. Hilal has the most superior chance to win the league this season if at all Ittihad finds a coach which can challenge with this team.

    Elsewhere -
Hilal signs Leo Bonatini. Very less I have seen such a young Brazilian forward to join Saudi league.
If to believe, Chilean Vilenauava will play for Ittihad next season .
Nassr have added Crotian Ivan Tomecak and Albanian Alban Meha.

How can Ittihad sign all these players with their huge debt which doesn't allow them to sign any player according to the General Authority of Sport/FA?

As far as I know from the GAoS's statement the club can't register any foreign player, whether it's a loan or buying the remaining of one player's contract, isn't that the case?

I think it got devaluated when the new president paid of all the due salaries to the players. Plus , when Noor can come back with banned for 4 years, this is a small case.:D

I thought Hilal was the better side, and considering the absences this should be a good sign for them this season. Jahfali's mistakes proved to be a costly one and Somah continued his fantastic and key performances for Ahli.

Ok..Now thats true. You can sign but not register the players with the federation. Thats the case with Ittihad, they have signed players but not yet registered which means they are still not eligible to play in official club matches..

The favorites start with wins, Ittihad, Nasser, Hilal and Ahli against Raed, Fateh, Baten and Ittifaq respectively.

For Ittihad, the team looks good with lot of pace upfront, Fahd and Kahraba can add lot of power to our flanks, we need good striker to finish it off, Akaichi still has to be tested..Defence is huge worry, we already have let of goals in already..

It's shame Sami's project with Shabab is starting this way, I hoped and expected much better than this. Hilal won a tricky game, I think the title race will be even closer this time.

BTW, 28 days break with just 2 round of the league being played? Well done..

Its good actually..Players warmed up well with NT duty in hand..
As for Shabab, I think they dont have good local players in squad to manage the team well.. The team looks relatively fresh, Hassan Muaz, Abdullah Asta, Ahmed Autef and Waleed are the few notable ones..

Newly appointed Ittihad president Ahmed Masood passes away in Turkey. The team was having camp there where he suffered heart attack.
