Wenger knows f*ck all about transfers this decade. Wenger to Gazidis: "It seems Leicester has stumbled little bit upon some money this summer . . . "
I think Wenger is behind the scenes working for these players and gets a cut. He helps them all get a new contract. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
Pathetic If we don't sign anyone else the club needs to really think about its identity and ticket prices
I come and check the board like twice a month. The cycle is always the same. Arsenal linked Board furiously defends or berates Player signs elsewhere or stays Arsenal can't buy players Repeat
Knee jerk reaction...would not make sense to drop 50 M on a Lacazette. I would rather add 20 M to it and go after Griezmann then, much better ROI.
We were never in for Mahrez. Im convinced of that. Bruno Peres and Mustafi look like we are either going to or will bid for them. We get Peres, Debuchy is gone.
No people just hang there hopes on rumors that have barely any basis and throw tantrums when they don't materialize Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
People never learn. I'm sure Arsenal is making inquiries all over the place, and probably make low ball offers all over the place as well. Arsene ain't paying 50m for laca or icardi... Face it fellas:
******** this transfer window but I already think Xhaka and Holding are better than Vieira and Maldini.
that would be the best thing - LONG TERM - for oxlade-chamberlain AND for arsenal. wenger will never have the fortitude to do it. we might have an injury (as we inevitably will) and need the depth.
based on evidence, it is hard to argue with your assertion. i just feel like he has shown moments of being damn good, especially towards the finish of the season before last. i feel like, even injury aside, he was a shit show last year, in no small part to wenger's suggestion that he should score more. he played stupidly selfish, nearly TGSTEL-ish at times.
he is not in the picture because wenger simply does not rate him. it would take the usual arsenal-level of injury crisis for him to even get minutes. and, even then, i am not sure he would get a terribly long leash before wenger goes with the jeff over him. i have heard ALLLLLLL of the arguments (like @mebeSajid says) about why not to like campbell and i cannot even argue it, even though i like and rate him. but, if wenger has no trust in him, then dump the kid into la liga and get somebody else (or give the slot to the jeff) and just move on.
You know what? I don't even care anymore, and that's fine. It's almost a relief. This year was kind of the final test of will Wenger go all out and really strengthen the team. He had money, he had many holes to fill. If he wasn't going on a spending spree this year, well that is proof that he is never going to do so. Now the last shreds of doubt are removed and we can get on with life. Weirdly enough, I almost have a twinge of pride that Arsenal are as good as they are even though they don't go after top talent like the top clubs. Like winning a boxing match only using your right hand. I think that's the Wenger Kool-Aid I just drank right there. I will go into this year with no expectations, will think that I'm supporting a gutty, mid table team, like Everton or Southampton, and when Arsenal perform really quite well for a team like that, maybe even getting CL again, I'll think, "Wow, that was a pretty good year." So... COYG?
What self-pity? I said it's cool. I'm fine. The team's fine. We don't need more players. In fact, I don't want anymore players. It's all good! ::twitch::
