Disagree. Ox is 22, has been injured a lot, is English and homegrown, and we'd be selling low on him. If someone offered 30m for him, I'd think about it, but given the injuries, I think he's worth more to Arsenal as a homegrown player than he would be to other teams.

Analysis is different for Wilshere, I think.

Edit: fixed a typo. Brain not working this week.

Don't think we can afford both Lacazette and Mahrez. Can probably spend close to an additional 70m in transfer fees this window - anything more would cause pain (some analyses say as little as 50m, SwissRamble said 100m and then subtract 35m for Xhaka).

I think Mahrez/Mustafi plus a young up and coming striker is the way to go. Or a striker/winger hybrid (but we aren't in for Sane for reasons I don't understand).

That leaves options 2 or 3 (which are the ones I'm torn between). The rumored numbers are...

    Lacazette -40 mil
    Mahrez - 35-40 mil
    Jese - 10-15 mil
    Ben Yedder - 10 mil
    Kaya - 10-15 mil
    Ginter - 10-15 mil
    Mustafi - 20-22 mil

Option 2 for me. Though if the numbers being thrown around today are any indication (£33m for Lacazette, £37m for Mahrez), they may be able to do both and still bring in a CB.

Personally, I think there's too much press for us to genuinely be in for Lacazette--at least as a first choice. When was the last player AW brought in that we had been linked heavily to in the press? Whoever comes in, we won't be expecting it.

I think I am leaning that way as well though I think I prefer Jese over Yedder due to his age, potential and versatility.

PSG sniffing around Jesé now (on loan) and Yedder potentially heading to Sevilla. I doubt Madrid would sell Jesé without a buyback clause, unless we up the €€.

Yedder is super meh. I'm surprised Vietto has so few potential suitors. He was ace at Villareal.

How many freaking wingers does PSG need? Seems they have bought 1-2 each window for the last several windows.

Yeah, I like that kid. He didn't secure a regular spot with Atleti so I assume that's the reason for lack of interest.

I don't think he's built for the kind of system Simeone wants.

Why do they all flameout at PSG? It seems like Di Maria is the only one who's done well there. Charlie, any insight?

Real would want a buyback, which may be an issue (though if he's coming for 10m, and the buyback ends up being around that, this effectively ends up being a loan).

Please don't compare us to bayern

Mandzuki had Robben muller and Robert behind him. Not to.mention multiple world class and experienced players

And a team knows how to defend and compete against the very best.

And even more contrasting example is Drogba in 05 and 06. Scored even less goals than Giroud, but his team defended and competed much better than we did.

    who?

All I was saying is that you do not need World Class striker to win league and/or CL....does it help...absolutely

If ...if ...big ********ing if...we were to get Mahrez..
You then have Mahrez Alexis and Ozil and Ramsey - and don't tell me that there would be a major drop in quality between that four or three and Robben, Muller, and RIBERY
