This win by IDV is likely to draw attention from European clubs IDV is one of the best if not the best in Ecuador for developing young talent hopefully players like Orejuela, Mina, and Angulo make the jump to Europe and consolidate themselves into great players. If i'm not mistaken we are one of the SA countries with the least amount of players in Europe would be nice if we had more players representing us in the Champions League or Europa League.

LOL.. all of a sudden this forum went back to the good ol days of taking a joke too seriously and refusing to back down from an argument. Speaking of which, that reminds me of our dear friend Argentine Futbol. Wasn't he a Boca fan too? Wonder how he's doing..

anybody watching Walter Chala lately? This kid finally got himself together at 24. That's the age where strikers start getting into their groove. He made it just in time. To think he was benched behind Marlon De Jesus and Edson Montano at youth level NT and now he's more successful than both.

10 goals and 5 assists in 19 games. Really good numbers if you ask me. If he can finish the year with a good 20 goals, he's done an amazing job. If those assists reach 10, even better. Main thing will be- can he do this in a bigger team and can it extend beyond just one good season. That's where we'll be able to tell if he's the real deal or not. I think he should aim for Mexico honestly. Safest bet for him....I think in an interview I heard him say he would never go to Russia or "anywhere with the likeness of that nature" ever again lol.

NT material? too early to say. I give him another year or so and I personally still don't think he'll make it past Tin Angulo, Miller, Enner, or Felipe. Jaime Ayovi is still in the fight believe it or not. Why? B/c as long as he is consistent in Argentina he will continue to get called up to the NT making it tough for Tin Angulo UNLESS Tin Angulo has a great season outside of Ecuador. Then that will knock Jaime off his boots from getting called up any longer unless there's an injury or something.

I was thinking the same about Chala he has some nice qualities Very fast capable of scoring and assisting. And yea he did say he doesnt want to go back to Russia he might not have been able to adapt to the environment which is why he did not have to much success. Hopefully mexico does pick him up.

Arturo Mina is going to River Plate.
How do you guys feel about that?
I take it as a bittersweet move, I for one wanted him to move to Europe, I believe that our players could do well in La Liga because of the language and all.
Now River is an amazing team and if Mina earns that starting role and consolidates himself in THAT club, not only do we get a solid defender but a leader, besides I like Gallardo's tactics and system, a very smart DT.
Wouldn't surprise me if River sells Mina to a European club, River is the Amazon Prime of shipping players.

Makes me wonder what would take European teams to sign our players. I remember watching the first final and heard Manchester City signed Marlos Moreno and Ajax signed Davinson Sanchez, both from Atletico Nacional.

I bet that Pavon guy from Boca will end up in Europe before any of our guys.

Can someone tell me how the f*** does Jefferson Orejuela not land in Europe but staying in SA? What the hell does he or any other player from IDV have to do? Damn. I can't believe none of the players might even land anywhere in Europe. What a disgrace.

They have to be Brazilian or Argentinian.

They will make it there eventually this will make it easier to transition in to Europe if they make it there. As IDV continue to improve there youth system they will continue to try to send their players on trial to Europe get them more expose and eventually more of our guys will get picked up.

As long as they made the jump and are playing in a good league thats process for us cause we dont have to many players in el exterior. Remember these guys are young too so they will find there way eventually.
