Well we have music and food how about movies? I'm watching the original fast and the furious not to be confused with fast and furious
Currently watching UFC 200..idk why but I am. oh you mean movies? let's see I can't actually remember the last movie I watched.
Fuck, the last movie I watched? I don't hit the theaters too much anymore but rented Blu-Ray's would be Interstellar and The Martian. Both are fantabulous for my love of science fiction.
The Martian is more believable because who can believe Mathew McInerney could go to space? Alright alright alright
My mom's bugging me to watch The Martian, but I'm focusing on watching all of Cowboy Bebop first. But my two all-time favorite movies are Whiplash (for the cinematography and soundtrack and everything) and White House Down (I don't quite know why, but I just enjoy it).
A Hawkwind live performance from Amsterdam on You Tube. The quality & performance isn't bad from a stoner recording with a cell phone.
The Martian was good but I thought Interstellar was fantastic. Last night I just saw Creed. Pretty disappointing considering the acclaim it received. I need to just stop watching Hollywood regurgitation movies no matter how much critics love it. cough..Star Wars... cough
Apparently Interstellar was originally a Kubrick movie, which means it could've been soooo much better.
I watched Batman v Superman on a plane. It was just as bizarre as everyone said it was. But I'm easily entertained, so I didn't mind that Lex Luthor hand fed someone a jolly rancher or threatened somebody with a jar of piss.
I thought Brock Lesnar looked pretty good, for being away for 5 years. The Daniel Cormier v. Anderson Silva fight was pretty bad. I knew Amanda Nunes would smash Meisha Tate. Cain Valesquez looked good in his return. As for movies, "The Lobster" was the best thing I have seen in years.
Work week was shitty so I ended up watching Billy Madison and Major League (first time) for some shitty comedy fun.
Rhonda Rousey would arm bar Nunes out of the octagon, if she could withstand Nunes' early onslaught. As for Meisha Tate, she will forever be "second best". The most interesting thing is how Holly Holm has become irrelevant, although she is fighting in Chicago later this month. Although I am huge fan, enough women's MMA talk.
I couldn't get past the first 15 minutes. It was terrible, just terrible. But Andy did produce one good movie. Check out "Millions".
if by "deep" you mean nonsense woo imaginings about misunderstood physics, sure. I prefer my science fiction to contain more actual science.
And I prefer my science fiction to contain less science and more fiction. If I want something more science-y I'll watch something hosted by Neil deGrasse Tyson like Cosmos. What I'm saying is I watch movies for entertainment, throw too much realism in there and I find it a tad boring.
You're going to have to show your work on this one. Kip Thorne worked as a consultant to keep the science plausible and actually did have to rein in Nolan at times. Various other theoretical physicists and engineers praised its accuracy.
show my work about a dude floating into a black hole and seeing a bunch of bookshelves that allow him to manipulate gravity in his own past? I liked both films, I just don't think the one that used time travel deus ex machina tricks was deeper than the one that didn't.
