Today Germany played the role of Bayern and France played the role of Ateltico Madrid.

Sometimes you just got to take advantage of another team's mistakes and make them pay. Great work by France in the second half to keep their cool, play smart, and finish this fantastic Germany team off.

I thought that was the Germans? Either way, don't judge us based on the supporters in Marseille. They are idiots ;)

2 self-inflicted, gifted goals. The French fairies were outplayed and outmatched. What a choke-job. I really wish Gomez was playing, they'd be 5-2 easy.

So I have fallen from 7/8 predictions for the round of 16 right to 1/6 predictions for the quarter finals and semi finals right. What on earth happened to my luck lol

To a certain extent it is true, Germany made dumb mistakes and did not deserve to win this match. So what?
That just shows me they were not mentally strong in this game as they usually are in other games and deserved to lose.
The best player on the field today was Griezmann and he showed some real good skill and leadership along with cold blood to win this game.
    France deserved to win.

No Gomez, no Hummels, no Reus, no Gundogan, no Khedira, no Boateng...and yet the French still managed to play like a small nation and play like cowards in front of their fans.

From today's game I would say Portugal will be happy. Germany is obviously the better team, but they had a bad day at the office. France will be favorites in the final, but they seem just so much more beatable.

In all honesty France didn't show anything for 90 minutes, save for their two chances which they took. Was really expecting a much closer game...

Every game is different. If futbol was simply a "hey this team played like this in this game so this should happen in that game" setup then it would be easy to predict.

Someone can say the way France took it to a team like Iceland while Portugal tied them shows me that France is far superior. Does that common opponent tell me anything about these two squads?
    No.

I think we have not seen France play their best yet which is scary. But Portugal has not played their best either.
I expect a close game that France finds a way to win at their national Stadium.

Finals seldom are the most beautiful games to watch. I'm expecting a gritty, tough closely fought nail biter.

I know it doesn't work like that, but Germany wins this game 4 out of 5 with France having no response. Plus they are World Cup champions. Obviously given the alternative playing France is the preferable route for Portugal.

Playing the Host Nation that finds ways to win Finals on their home turf to me is just as bad as playing Germany with the crowd 50/50 split.
But that is just my opinion.
