According to Yanks Abroad, Mael Corboz is on trial with MSV Duisberg who were recently relegated to the 3rd tier. I'm guessing this is a continuation of the Hammers relationship with Duisberg; a few weeks ago one of their players worked out in Wilmington. According to Wikipedia, Corboz has French-born parents meaning he would be eligible for an EU passport via parentage. So if he impresses there would be little to get in the way of his transfer. The Hammers tend to let their players move on when they are wanted as we are clear in our role as a club that develops players and moves them on. Selfishly I hope he stays because he's been my favorite player this season, but I can understand him taking the opportunity. Besides, the way he was playing its doubtful we would have had past one season anyway.
