Resume before Belgium match is still that one: there are not any surprises in play-off. But the game of England must be very hard for them. Iceland can use there hight forwards in goal area. The defence of England is too young. Even Russian used this factor. With huge amount of crosses there must be result.

The top teams managed to keep their efforts and did not play on maximum, besides "cinderellas" all played as they only could, that is why we will never see any surprises furthere. All surprises took place in group. Top teams get the maximum form in knock-out.

One of the trend of tournament tactics is make break through flanks by wing defenders than stoping before the front line and passing to running insides who kick into goal. Most use of this tactics is in Italy attack, Russia tryed use it in the match with Wales, but there was great missdids by Smolnikov. Such combination Turkey used, and there was a goal in the match against Chech. Such goal scored Belgium.
I think we will see it in more further matches.

    In proceeding of previous post:
there is very big significant of wing-defenders and kites of box-area like Gomes. Lewandovski will produce in that way further. Im sure.

at this rate, Hungary will be lucky to keep it at only a few goals conceded. Just looks like a huge mismatch right now

Hazard, easily the best player on the pitch this game. If he keeps that form they have a great a shot at the final

I think you may have proved your point there for Belgium are the strongest team in their bracket and Poland come 2nd. Belgium and Poland are better than Portugal and Wales by far. They attack better, they defend better and their passing is a lot better. Wales and Portugal just rely on mistakes while Poland who only conceded 1 goal through the goal of the tournament and Belgium who are the only team to win by 4 goals in this Euros play proper football with incisive attacking and solid defending. Belgium and Poland will make it in the semi-finals for me, and it will be one heck of a game.

Poland will beat Portugal? how? they were lucky vs Switzerland. pretyy meh in group tournament. Lewy seems a little bit out of form. They have no advantage at this point.

Because from what I have seen Poland have been better in this tournament than Portugal, I mean its so obvious. While Portugal draw all three of their matches in the group stage and beat a disintegrated Croatia by a goal a 5 year old could score, Poland are winning matches, drawing with Germany and only conceded by the goal of the tournament. You go on about Lewandowski, this is why I have been saying that Lewandowski should be dropped and Milik should be played as the striker if you were reading my earlier posts properly.
Lol bias at its best, of course you would both act like this. You all either support Portugal or worship Ronaldo, you can not actually see the bigger picture. I am an England fan and I have just admitted that my team sucks after failing to beat Slovakia and Russia and by beating Wales through goalkeeper errors, are you gonna admit your fate as well? The facts are you drew all three of your matches in the group stage with Hungary, Iceland and Austria and beat a Croatian team with nothing in them by a schoolboy goal, yet you think you can make it to the Euro final? Guys, wake up

I'm not here to say Portugal are or aren't favourites. We've shown keep possession and creating plenty of chances despite not scoring in the group stages and we've shown we can also play defensively and keep out a good Croatian team. Have we been able to defend and attack well in a single game? No, we haven't put it together to the best of our ability. Never write off anyone because Croatia wrote us off and they are the ones going home. I'm sure we wrote off Iceland, Hungary and Austria and look what happened.

What I'm here the question you is on the schoolboy goal comment you've just made. It astonishes me that someone would make the comment because of all the work that led up to that goal. Yes it was a tap in BUT the lead up to the goal for it to get to that position was definitely not schoolboy quality.

As fair as your point is, the lead-up was a bit slow and a bit too predictable (as in I knew Sanches would pass to Nani and I knew instantly that Nani was going to pass to Ronaldo), and the goal itself was a goal a 5 year old could score (Quaresma literally had the whole net in front of him and the keeper could have done a bit better against Ronaldo, it was bad for him to hit the ball towards Quaresma), so overall I call it a schoolboy standard goal. I have seen much better counter-attacks than that, you see what I call a counter-attack was a goal like Griezmann vs Bayern Munich in May. That was a counter-attack for me because I actually did not predict any of the lead-up to happen and it really shocked me how it all happened. The goal was scored with speed, quick thinking and advantage taking that I never saw coming. Literally, it all happened with practically a flick of a finger, and those are the counter-attacks I rate.
