Ah the rematch of the battered and the broken. Seems like both teams got pretty seriously outplayed, albeit less so for Colombia.
honestly this game could come down to who wants it more.... anything can happen in a third place playoff game... I'm hoping it's us...
By the time we are done with Colombia tomorrow they will consider themselves "freedomized" by the US of A. We will teach them a bit of soccer and democracy so they can take it back to their country and apply it. Go Team AMERICA!!!
Going to miss this match unfortunately. I can see Colombia experimenting here, so a USA win isn't out of reach. It will all depend on line ups. Strongest lineups then its a comfortable win for Colombia again. If Colombia experiments while the USA uses their strongest then I think the USA can take it.
All jokes aside, I have been a disappointed by this Colombian team. They managed to easily defeat us Yanks in the first game, but they have struggled to look like a solid team ever since then, granted they won their second game and beat Peru on Pks , but they are having serious trouble to win games. I expect this match to be a close one.
I have a question for the Colombian( or just all Hispanic) fans. How would you feel if halfway through the game border patrol would set up check points in every single exit of the stadium and wait for the game to be over. This may sound a bit crazy but with this whole illegal immigration debate and the rise to prominence of Donald Trump I wouldn't be surprise if this were to start happening in the near future. Maybe I should create a thread for this, what do you all think?
I'm half Guatemalan and I'd be cool with border patrol. We have too many illegal immigrants in this country.
Or we could stop freaking out and allow the mass-media entertainment like the sports industry keep us happy and compliant. Seriously. I like soccer better.
Horribly disappointing as that may be, it would at least be better than a Dempsey/Wondo duo. At least Wood could compliment Wondo a bit.
