    Here's to hoping.

It's very possible that our crisis might be over.

It's also very possible that our crisis is just beginning.

I'm hoping this episode can be put behind us and the transition in coaching styles will be painless for our squad....and that the players react positively to his presence.

What the hack happened to Liga!? How in the world do we suck so bad compare to last season. Insane. Poor showing in Libertadores with Emelec as well. Ecuadorian soccer not looking good right now. Actually piss poor other than Ind. del Valle.

Liga De Quito no es ni la sombra de lo que fue.. now about Emelec.. i don't know if you guys noticed, but ever since Bolanos left, Emelec hasn't been the same. Bolanos was the one who gave life to this team.. when Bolanos left, Emelec hasn't been able to successfully replace him with an effective player. Now lets hope IDV beats Colo Colo today, their the only ones making Ecuador look good.. im not even a fan of IDV.. but i support any Ecuadorian Club that plays outside of Ecuador.

What's happening to Liga  ?! Last place and it doesn't seem like we are getting out of it anytime soon. If it keeps going like this we might get relegated.

Thank goodness we beat Barcelona today! If we lost that undefeated home streak, I think it would have been a total morale killer for the first half of the season. I'm still confident we were just in a really bad funk and will get out of it soon- we've played 2 games less than our counterparts, and we need to make up points. I'm not even gunning for top-3, but all we need is to finish mid-table to survive and focus on a fresh start in the second half of the season.

Do we keep the same lineup for the next game?

    Dominguez
    Quinteros, Romero, Canga, Estupinan
    Hidalgo, Benavides
    Morales, Cevallos, Aleman
    Angulo
I think so people we would have on bench is Puch, Tenorio, Vera, Vega, Padilla, and Reasco. I think this is solid as is.

Dominguez does not deserve to start on the NT. What a poor performance recently. This is his worst season by far.

Liga has been doing bad lately so the Moral is really down for every one. It hard for GK when the team does bad looses and gets scored on. Dominguez has let go goal that he shouldn't have but the defense is bad.

Romero is constantly losing the markings of his players and Araujo is out and Canga cant exactly fill his shoes yet. We need to build confidence and momentum at this point at least we are getting point and moving away from the bottom of the table so we have to wait until it turns around.

    I know Dominguez personally.

The dude is as confident as any other professional I've ever met. I think his performance funk is symptomatic to how bad the entire team has been doing. Even with 2 wins and a tie, I think we should be doing MUCH better. That being said, we might have hit our rock bottom and will likely finish the first half of the season at mid-table. That means the second half will NEED to be tight from game 1. We need to solidify our starting 11, and get our guys pumped again.

Freakin Fernando Guerrero in LDU...not a fan. If it's a lefty we were looking for we should have made an effort EARLIER and gone for Marcos Caicedo. I would much rather have said screw it and don't sign anyone. Might as well have worked something out with Jairo Padilla and given him minutes or tried to recover Hansel Batalla or a young guy at youth level and not Guerrero.

Hopefully there's no disciplinary problems during his stay. Good luck to him, but im not a fan.

Off into another topic- I want to see what our line up is now after CA. No Puch and possibly no more Morales. Anangono is back. What will happen? Any thoughts? IMO Aleman will be the key man from here on out if that's the case. Sucks we had such an amazing squad that could've done something important in Libertadores, but we had to let it go b/c that piece of sh*t Borghi came in and destroyed everything. Worst decision ever made in life was to bring that fool to Liga. We lost Alvez, Puch, and now maybe Morales. Cevallos lost playing time in the first semester. That fool began a cycle of negativity for us.

We really could have made noise for Libertadores did you see Puch play for Chile? Him Aleman and Morales should have been a machine in offense and if Borghi didnt let go Alves he would have been in that mix too.

Don't like Guerrero or Anangono. I always thought they sucked. Disappointed they were signed by Liga. Boo!

I liked Anangono before he left to mexico but he is coming back from the b league both him and Guerrero have not had too much playing time or done anything special there.

When he did play with us he wasn't able to net a lot of the opportunities he got. before he left he was just starting to become the player we wanted so it like back to square one with him which I a big problem for us because we have trouble scoring or creating chances.

I wounder how Guitierez plans to use him. As a lone striker or playing along side Angulo or Tenorio?

On the other note does any one know if Estupinan's transfer to Watford officially happened ? Any news on that ?

It's being reported that Dominguez is going to Mexico. Liga is in debt for about 800k I hope this helps our club finances don't know how much they sold him for. But we got around 500k for Puch.

That was a bargain b/c Puch wasn't even ours to begin with so in that aspect I applaud Liga, BUT we let go of such a great player. He was top quality.

Dominguez is a done deal to Monterrey. From what I heard it's 99% closed. I have mixed feelings about it. I'm sad b/c he's such a great keeper and has done so much for us that I'll personally miss seeing him guarding our post....so much experience, so much leadership, so much love for our team as a Liguista. He was one of our last vets that has won it all. But another side of me is proud he's making a step forward in his career and it proves that he's shown growth. I think it was time for him to go b/c he's done so much for us that he deserves to excel somewhere better now. Good luck to Dida!! He will be missed.

Viteri's time to hold it down...and as I've said before- there's a kid by the last name Nazareno who comes from our youth system. I heard he's called to be Dida's successor. Been hearing about him for 3 years now. Let's see what he's really made of. Heard he's just as tall, if not even taller than Dida. I want to see how good this kid REALLY is and see if he can take Viteri down. Viteri is awesome and it won't be easy. Good luck to him and most of all Good luck to Dida!

Dude, don't remind me....I think of what this Libertadores could've been and I get all irritated that our team was in the wrong hands. So much talent on our squad was wasted. We had not built a team like that in YEARS. Let's not even talk about it anymore...smh

Not exactly....Guerrero I know hasn't, but if I'm not mistaken Juan Anangono was in the best starting 11 of the Liga de Ascenso. He was supposed to move to a team in first division, but it didn't end up happening and Liga snatched him.

Our team won't have Pervis which is a huge loss IMO. We won't have Dida anymore. Puch is gone and Morales most likely will leave which is why Guerrero was signed. OH and Hidalgo is down for a WHILE. I think a few months. All of the sudden we aren't that packed (squad depth) as we were earlier in the year.

I hope we play like this:

Viteri; Quinteros, Canga, Araujo, Madrid (juvenil); Benavides, Vega; Aleman, Cevallos, Guerrero; Anangono

If Morales stays, I would place him where Cevallos is and move Cevallos to Benavides position and have Vega be a #5 neto. Jairo Padilla, Hansel Batalla, Chucho Bolanos still on the bench.

    Sigh. 800k is a pittance.

Wishing that homeboy luck. He definitely worked his ass off for Liga and has been a standout for a significant amount of his tenure with us....he's also an all around great guy.
