Alright you guys, Sweden up next. Who do you tip to start? No Parolo No Party. I also think Bernardeschi will get some time

I got a feeling Immobile won the second striker role from Eder with his inspired performance. And like Stamos, I think De Sciglio will get the nod over Darmian. The other nine will stay the same IMO.

I was really impressed with De Sciglio. He has a quiet intensity about him that he seemed to lack prior. Did you notice that during the season?

I'd be fine with Immobile. He came to play. Either him or Insigne should get a chance to prove themselves for 90min.

Oh, and what were you saying about Pelle all this time...?;)

I've been saying it forever (as has Rosay) that De Sciglio plays better for the national team than he does domestically. Been that way for two/three years now.

Insigne and Bernardeschi are probably being withheld for when the game is tied or we are down. Young pacy players off the bench who can take on their man and make something happen. I doubt we will see either start unless injuries occur.

Pelle missed a slew of chances. He's great at holding up play, but he's just not that clinical. He's perfect for what Conte wants though. And when Italy can take a lead, he becomes an effective presence as the focal point. I just worry if we go down a goal early...and one game won't change my mind. I still think Italy has better center forwards.

Wouldn't surprise me if he goes with the 3-4-3. This is the only chance to take a risk and find out if we can play more offensively. Something like-

    El Sha Pelle Candreva
De Sciglio De Rossi Parolo Florenzi

Not sure about Immobile. He did well coming on but Conte obviously likes what Eder is doing. And to be fair Eder has been decent for the National team. His work rate is excellent, and he seems to make decent runs off of Pelle.

Darmian is a quality back, however his form isn't the most consistent, especially since as far as I know, he hasn't played on the left all season at Man U. De Sciglio shouldn't be overlooked because he plays for a poor Milan team. His play is steady, always has been, he won't be the next Maldini like some hoped but his steady play is exactly what is needed right now.

A win here will be huge, can give our older players a rest and offer some youngsters to get there feet wet in a major competition vs Ireland.

    3-4-3 ??

    Buffon
    Barzagli Bonucci Chiellini
    Florenzi Parolo Motta Darmian
    Candreva Pelle Insigne

Idk something along the lines of that. If we take a goal lead and are in the 2nd half I'd take off Insigne because he can't defend for shit and probably put on El Sha or change back to the 3-5-2 and throw on Giaccccccccccc

He might have but I actually don't mind Immobile the super sub coming in and running the tired defenders into the ground. Conte can do it with either him or Zaza

Man, Immobile was pissed off at the world when he came in, never seen him play like that before. I'd like to see SES, Insigne and Berna get some good playing time, they have great pace especially on the counters.

I said to myself, "who is this guy with this flame up his ass? Never seen him play like that."

As for the other 3, all had great seasons in my book, I think Insigne can be a gamebreaker going forward

If Pelle can't play then I see Immobile and Zaza starting.

Sky Sports reporting Pelle has been cleared to play - no damage in finger - and will play.

Buffon swinging off the cross bar like a baboon and falling like a buffoon. We all buffoons sometime or another. Let's hope for a big win tomorrow to scare our opponents. Italy will be feared again. My prediction 2-0 for the Azzurri. Pelle, Bonucci or De Rossi on the scoresheet
