I am salivating already. Germany should be a prohibitive favorite but Ukraine is coming in with a significant momentum after good friendly game showing. Germany should win but the games are played with a round ball which bounces every each way.
Antonio Rüdiger, who was supposed to start as Hummels replacement in this game, has suffered an ACL and so out for Euros
I'm not fancy for Ukraine chances here, but it'll be very intresting to see UNT in the challenges like that since many players shall be out from little boy's pants.
So far I have too!! And can watch my Copa games at night!! But that will change abit tomorrow!! I work at my job from 5am-noon...so I will miss the 9 am games!!
That back line is missing Hummels which is -when the left Cb is so exposed by Hector going forward in such a left leaning setup- not the easiest thing to do
Well that was a well deserved win by Germany! A great team performance with solid defending and a well done counter attack at the end of the game! Candidates for the Euros, I would say so
Best game of the whole tournament so far. Honestly so much drama. First Mustafi heading in a goal from a free kick which was the first shot on target from Germany. Then Ukraine millimeters away from scoring, after catching Neuer off his line, but Boateng cleared a second before it was about to cross the line. Then Ukraine's offside goal which correctly did not count but it just showed how much the Ukrainians were pushing for the equalizer. Then the funniest part of the whole game, when Hector pretty much destroyed the corner flag and the way he kicked it made it fly into the second floor of the stands. Then Muller shouting at Ozil trying to look for him to pass the ball, while Ozil was out of position. Another funny part when Neuer was being stupid getting out of his goal, and Mustafi almost scored an own goal trying to head back to Neuer but Boateng was there to clear it, and then finally Schweinsteiger's late goal to double the lead of the Germans. I will probably be talking about this game for many years to come. Man of the Match for me: Jerome Boateng

Funny thing is that Boateng saving the net was due to his directing the ball into it in the first place. Konoplyanka does not seem to be shooting at the net but, likely, passing to Zozulya. Boateng intercepts the ball quite clumsily and then has to heroically block it from going in. I loved the game. I was not embarrassed for our team's performance. They fought hard and, unfortunately, World Champions are just better. Poland did not impress, so I expect us to do better against them. lately we have had the bragging rights versus Poland.
Oh, and YES, I have so far, seen every match. But I am going to work Monday, so I am going to start missing some matches.
Ukraine had a great game and I think they invested much in trying to cover the passing opportunities and counter. Unfortunately they ran out of steam in the 2nd half because of that.
