Neuer is part of this team. His performance is not some isolated concept. If he performed well then that counts towards the whole team's success.

You people demand perfection from a team that will never give it to you. Just because the other team had a couple of opportunities doesn't mean this team performed poorly. We can all hee-haw about what "could easily have been." Conversely, it could have been 5-0, too. But it wasn't. It was 2-0.

Tense game, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time! Honestly I feel we were lucky to come away with a win here but the other bigger teams haven't really impressed so far, either, so I'm not TOO worried yet. Lots to improve on, though, no doubt.

Hah! Nice list. Actually the Korea game in the 1994 WC after the first 35 mins was terrible too. Germany went on autopilot mode and it snoozed off.
Czech 2004 I agree with. Definitely right "up" there with this game.
Latvia 2004 really wasn't that bad. Schneider hit the post twice. Basically that was more a case of bad luck.

 

Goetze was horrible today , Jogi should have brought Gomez at around 70 min..... Germany were way to predictable with their crosses ... At one point they did even know we're to pass the ball anymore ...

 

His second game record may not be that impressive.

But Germany has an amazing record against Poland. The loss in Warsaw in the qualifiers was the only loss against Poland ever.
