We should beat Ukraine. I'm going with 4-0. We are solid in opening matches. Have a handful of Ukrainian friends so this win would be nice to start :D

true about opening matches, what I remember, when Germany won their first game convincingly they usually did well at the Tournament as well.

Ballack was so deadly with those late runs into the box.

Absolutely. I think that was the time he was dubbed europe's most dangerous infront of goal midfielder

A 01-06 Ballack would do our team a lot of good right now. One of my favourite German players until he went to Chelsea

I recon if oezil could improve his effectiveness in front of goal , saying if he could just be 50% as lethal as Ballack was , that would be good enough. If oezil could have just improved that skill he could have been one of the worlds best.!

I agree with this, one of his problems is that either he shoots it goes to wide or the amount of times he gets 1 on 1 with the keeper and then misses. Some games I felt he seemed hesitant to shoot himself, as overall he seems more comfortable with passing/crossing. Although 19 goals in 73 caps isn't that bad.

    Kicker Prediction so far:
    Neuer - Höwedes, J. Boateng, Mustafi, Hector - Khedira, T. Kroos - T. Müller, Özil, Draxler - M. Götze

Hopefully Loew will bring in Kimmich for Howedes depending how he plays, in the second half.
IF Khedira has a similar game like against Hungary , that Lowe will actually substitute him as well.
Possibly bring on Gomez as well........

FUN Fact: Type Khedira into to the Comment Section Right click and see what spell checker comes up with:
