Bahrain Football Association (BFA) General Secretary Hassan Ismail announced the departure of Bahrain national team coach Sergio Batista on mutual agreement.
The decision comes after a year of the Argentinian coach’s appointment. Batista led Bahrain in nine games throughout the year, losing five – twice against North Korea and Uzbekistan and once against The Philipines. He managed four wins – twice over Yemen and once against the Philipines and Lebanon.

Former Bundesliga top scorer Jorn Andersen is set to take over as head coach of the North Korean national soccer team, his family confirmed to Norwegian media on Wednesday.
Family members told Norway’s state broadcaster NRK that the 53-year-old had signed a one-year deal with the notoriously secretive state, whose team are already out of the running for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Be interesting to know what the expectations are of some of these federations. I'd suggest their best bet is to try and get a manager with a strong technical director background and look to develop a strong youth development system that hopefully builds towards a strong national team in 10 years or so. Really they need to know that they'll never be a powerhouse, so they need to dictate what it is they want to achieve with tactics, style, development and results (to an extent).

Bangladesh national football team's head coach-hopeful Tom Saintfiet has kept the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) waiting for a proposed three-month agreement after the Belgian coach skipped the official signing ceremony citing sickness yesterday.
“Today [Wednesday] we were supposed to strike a deal with Tom Saintfiet, but he requested us to postpone the signing as he fell in ill last night,” said BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag.
The twist in this tale apparently emerged after Frenchman Paul Le Guen turned down an offer to take charge of the Nigeria national team on July 20. Le Guen's refusal to take the Nigeria job, where Saintfiet was one of three shortlisted candidates, has seemingly reignited Saintfiet's hope of landing the Super Eagle's job.

Guam’s national soccer team, the Matao, has hired a former Major League Soccer player as an interim head coach, the Guam Football Association confirmed Wednesday.

The hiring of Darren Sawatzky comes prior to the team’s November competition at the East Asian Football Federation E-1 Football Championship Round 2 in Taiwan. It also comes after the Matao’s former coach, Gary White, left the team in May to join a football club in the China Team One division.
