There are some in CR that say that the reason Pinto was separated was because Wanchope was plotting against him behind the scenes, or as we say, "serruchándole el piso" (sawing off the floorboards he was standing on). If that is true, then I don't have a high opinion of Wanchope as a professional. And after what Pinto did in the World Cup, Paulo better win the Uncaf without breaking a sweat, or he'll take a ton of flak from everybody.

No posts since September ? I'll post a belated congrats. Your fans turned out nicely at Harrison, NJ and you definitely outcoached the US. Held possession, dictated the pace of the game and had the better scoring chances. I do feel bad for the CR fan who had his flag stolen, but you really can't sit alone, fourth row of the supporters section and celebrate like that at the end of the game.

Probabaly not what you're expecting, since there is no "college league". As is usually the case with university sports teams in Latin America, they are fully professional.
If I were to schedule a game, who would I aim to be playing against...Sorry for my lack of knowledge, I'm trying to plan for my mens semi-pro adult team to go down on a tour
If you are looking for semi-pro teams to play against, you should contact LINAFA (Liga Nacional de Futbol Aficionado), which is the equivalent of a third division in CR.
He had 34 games, 32 starts, 79.2 minutes per game he played in, 8 goals, 2 yellow cards, and no ejections. His 8 goals were tied for the third most on Sporting Lisbon. http://www.concacaf.com/article/costa-rica-feels-at-home-in-u-s-for-copa-america-centenario is titled "Costa Rica feels at home in U.S. for Copa America Centenario."
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I know the Ticos played for themselves, not for the USA, but defeating Colombia was a huge help.
