I thought we played well, given the circumstances. Maczynski surprisingly good, Glik awesome. Lewy rules. Scotland showed a lot of heart. All we are missing to be very good is a true playmaker in the middle, someone like Szymkowiak used to be, but no one on the horizon. ESPN on Sunday, hopefully we are celebrating.

hey Smoga! Good times! been a while since a tie felt so good

awesome goals by Scotland but we need to do better or we'll never clear the hurdle of being a middling soccer power

Milik, Rybus and Jodlowiec are all injured and out of the Ireland game

Milik (6 goals and Euro leading 6 assists) will be missed the most as his partnership with Lewandowski (Euro leading 12 goals and four assists) was one of the main reason for Polish success in front of goal

They are the most effective duo in these Euro qualifications.

your overabundance of faith in the Polish team is disturbing
    and embarrassing to he honest

there is not way that Poland is a dark horse in the upcoming Euro
if we get out of the group it will be a success

Not sure I see Lewandowski keeping up this level of Play for another 10 months.

France 2016 will have a 16-team KnockOut Stage. In FIFA rankings that is a Russia, Iceland, Ukraine, Northern Ireland type

    QuarterFinals is the goal

    Yeah, they should do.

Partly because they get their players from the only team in Munich that matters.

We need 24 passionate articles about the participant teams of the upcoming Euro 2016 in France.

The first and most important condition is that the author represents the country the article is about. The perfect author has watched all the matches of his team during the qualification campaign, is updated on everything around the team and is going to passionately cheer for the team during the Euro. It is also important to have some basic understanding in football tactics and minimal writing skills in English.

1-2 articles are going to be published every week starting on March the 15th.

The following topics should be touched in 4-5 sentences:

    1. Facts about the national team and its in European Championships
    2. Qualification campaign for Euro 2016
    3. The coach
    4. The superstar
    5. The potential breakthrough (under 21)
    6. The tactics
    7. The contenders in the group stage and historical mettings with them
    8. The strengths of the team
    9. The weaknesses of the team
    10. Predictions about Euro 2016 and the destiny of the team in particular

Some words or phrases may be editted before being published.

We would prefer to attach photoes of authors when publishing the articles.

There are prizes for two of the best authors.

The author of the most viewed article by the end of the group stage will get the first prize of 200 Euros.

The author with the best predictions will also get a special prize.

The deadline is the 15th of March, 2016.

What do you people think? I like it, except having the second Orzelek on the thigh, that's rather tacky.

I have been following Euro Championship since the 96 Championship that retired Klinsman. Never missed one since... This year I am predicting France to win at their home. The only team I see possibly creating an upset is Spain.

28 players selected by Nawalka. Five will be cut by May 31. I suspect Tyton, Cionek, Dawidowicz, Sobiech and Peszko will be out, but who knows, maybe they will impress at camp. No major surprises with the exception of Dawidowicz and lack of Mila, but that was expected by many.

Goalkeepers: Artur Boruc (AFC Bournemouth), Łukasz Fabiański (Swansea City), Wojciech Szczęsny (AS Roma), Przemysław Tytoń (VfB Stuttgart).

Defenders: Thiago Cionek (US Palermo), Paweł Dawidowicz (Benfica Lizbona), Kamil Glik (Torino FC), Artur Jędrzejczyk (Legia Warszawa), Michał Pazdan (Legia Warszawa), Łukasz Piszczek (Borussia Dortmund), Maciej Rybus (Terek Grozny), Bartosz Salamon (Cagliari Calcio), Jakub Wawrzyniak (Lechia Gdańsk).

Midfielders: Jakub Błaszczykowski (ACF Fiorentina), Kamil Grosicki (Stade Rennes), Tomasz Jodłowiec (Legia Warszawa), Bartosz Kapustka (Cracovia), Grzegorz Krychowiak (Sevilla FC), Karol Linetty (Lech Poznań), Krzysztof Mączyński (Wisła Kraków), Sławomir Peszko (Lechia Gdańsk), Filip Starzyński (Zagłębie Lubin), Paweł Wszołek (Hellas Werona), Piotr Zieliński (Empoli Calcio).

Forwards: Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Monachium), Arkadiusz Milik (Ajax Amsterdam), Artur Sobiech (Hannover 96), Mariusz Stępiński (Ruch Chorzów)

I don't know about Cionek because he wasn't called for this squad just to be kicked out before the start of Euro. He's too weak to be there in the first place.

I've never really seen him play, except the few times on the NT. Cionek supposedly had a bad year in Palermo, but showed up and played well in the last month or so. It does follow Nawalkas idea of calling up players who are doing well and are starting, but a bit strange call up anyway.

I am excited about Zielinski. Is he mature enough to be a distributor alongside Krychowiak's DM for the games that we decide to play more offensively? Seen him play few times for Empoli, and he played well, but is he already at the top level to start at the Euro's?

Wszolek breaks his arm during "regeneration camp" and is out of the tournament. Frankly, this news pisses me off. I realize that even if he made the cut he would be just a bench player, but still. Someone on the training staff messed up.
