You're so right. Let's look at the last couple seasons of CL play from Bayern as our measuring stick...

*watches Bayern get slaughtered by both Real Madrid and Barcelona in quick succession*

Well that didn't work out. Now, let's keep the patently ridiculous suggestions out of this thread, okay?

You're so right. Let's just do an All-Bayern XI:
    -----------------------Neuer----------------------
    Pohl----Boateng-----Kimmich----Steinhart
    ------------------------Rode----------------------
    -------------Dorsch--------Gaudino-----------
    Goetze-----------Weihrauch--------Mueller

Yeah no, that XI SUCKS BALLS, man, half the players don't even play first division football, so any other stupid suggestions?

I think we need to play Boateng Hummels and Mustafi in defence with one full back Like Low normally does for tournament. play 3 CB and one full back

Last I checked, the winning goal was scored by a Dortmund player who chased a bigger paycheck, which is what Bayern has turned into these days. A club of mercenaries who can't leave fast enough once the account is full.

Last I checked, Götze was a Bayern player at the time of the goal being scored.

That BVB developed and cherished for almost a decade and that Bayern then ruined. His career at Bayern is not a badge of pride for you guys.

But he is not playing for you . So that's a pride on its own.

Andre Schurrle may be in line for a return to the Premier League as Liverpool and Tottenham are linked with an interest in the former Chelsea attacker.

Wolfsburg should take the deal immediately. Schurrle has been a massive flop for them

Andre Hahn playing well in his new role since returning from injury. His goal versus Bayern today.

Schubert is playing Hahn as CF..he has perfect size, great shooting power..may be he can remain injury free and continue excel as CF..
He can earn a place as CF in 2018 Russia WC

Hahn's in great form. But he's still all physical tools with little technical ability. His size & speed serve him well in wide open matches, but do little when his side need to break down a bus. That said, he's been really hot for these 3 weeks; so if a bunch of our better options are decimated by injury, he could be a serviceable bench guy/possible-Joker.

Aside from the bickering we'd have to endure from the Bayern & BVB fans; there's no reason for both not to be there pushing Kroos for the 6.

Hahn playing at CF is not a new role. Favre played him there a couple of times too last season.

And from what I can remember, he played CF for Galdbach against Bayern Munich last season n Was impressive

You may think he's in a hot streak

But I think We lack attackers in good form anyway. Schuerrle n Kruse have been terrible all season; Podolski pretty much terrible all these years; Draxler has been injured in last 3-4 weeks

Goetze is a benchwarmer for Bayern Munich; Even Mueller n Reus have been quiet or out of form recently.
Not to mention Oezil, is not performing at a consistently high level since 2016.

Hahn brings physicality, toughness, good finishing/heading and good run of form to this team. That's something the team lack

Mario Gomez, Hahn n Brandt are the most in form attackers out of the national pool. And I would still prefer Brandt to play for Olympics n maybe Sane in Euro 2016

People worry too much if our players are skill n technical. I have different concern for a centre forward.
Can they press? Can they score? Can they make good off-the-ball movement and create space? How's their positioning?

There are many aspects in the game, especially when u are only playing with one striker in the formation. Actually Size is part of that complete package too. In a 4231, u want your striker to be more well-rounded than they normally should.

U don't need a superb dribbler or someone who makes killer passes like Oezil. U need someone with physicality, tactical knowledge, killer instinct n the ability to play high line defence/pressing.

That's more important for a striker nowadays. Maybe some of us still believe Barca's tiki taka work for us, but in fact the game has moved on and has changed a lot in last 1-2 years. Possession is no longer important as it used to be. so u need more varieties in your roster

Do you keep a word document that you just copy-n-paste from, or do you write that up anew every time?

Hahn is in great form and as I posted in the team thread I would take him at least to the camp. But.. in every aspect of the game Gomez is a bit better than him. Pace, finishing, touch, expirience. I apriciate your football knowledge and we like similar styles and teams as far as I know but when it comes to Gomez you are massively irrational.

Fair enough, I guess it's not the end of days if there's one topic that we'll just never agree on lol.
