I can see it now: LAG trade 1st round draft pick and undisclosed discovery rights to TOR for 500 UCLA online credits

News Release from LA Galaxy: Bradford Jamieson IV has successfully appealed to the MLS Disciplinary Committee to have his B- in History of American Jazz upgraded to a B+. Per league and club policy, his overall GPA and class standings were not disclosed.

I believe MLS has a deal with SNHU that provides free college to players.

"I'm willing to play for Manchester United if I can also study at Oxford" is ... not exactly something I was saying at his age.

They already do Phil...Isn't he in the business of soccer. Suprises me how many experts in the professional soccer business are so ignorant and mis-informed yet always finds ways to misguide.

There are commercials about the partnership on TV during MLS games, if Phil Shoen paid attention...
Of course SNHU is hardly Oxford, but then the Philly Union are hardly Man United.

The LA Galaxy also have a relationship with Cal State Dominguez:
Game changer: LA Galaxy partnering with local university to help young players develop on and off the field
It makes sense to have a league-wide partnership with SNHU for online courses, and teams can hopefully partner with local schools for their academy players.

Its been happening for years if anyone would pay attention. Brian West finished his degree at OSU after leaving UVA, recently read an article that Z. McMath was taking college courses when he was with Philly. Players can do it independently or use the formal league wide relationship or negotiate their own education. Its not like EPL is offering online Oxford courses to all its players just like MLS can't offer Harvard online courses to everyone. Wish people in the soccer broadcasting industry at least knew the basics

Interesting that they are playing him as an LB, at least in this game. He looks absolutely massive for the U18 level physically. I think he is very underrated on these boards because of the attacking talent in his age group. He may have the highest ceiling outside of Pulisic. IMHO I think he has the potential to play anywhere across the backline, and at fullback has immense quality going forward.

I think you would have to assume it'll be similar to Chelsea? More players going on Loan, less coming from youth ranks, although that's tough to really say. Van Gaal was pretty good about playing young talent to be honest.

It's pretty much all negative. Mou simply isn't interested in academy players and never has been at any of his previous clubs. Personally, I expect Rashford to play in the Championship in a permanent move within 18 months.

Depends if Matthew even ends up good enough to play for the 1st team and if he does get to that point, who knows if Mou will even be there anymore. Reasonably, expect him to play with their U21's for the 16/17 season and go from there. If he can do well with the reserves, then maybe a lower division loan in say 17/18.
