I thought it was just being reduced to 12 for next season. 10 might be too much in my opinion because you would have matchup happening 4 times for a total of 36 games while with 12 you can have 3 match ups for a total of 33 games. I wonder how they determine who gets the advantage in having two home matches.
Ten is better; everyone gets the same number of home and away games (two of each against each other opponent). There are 36 matches so that is match revenue for three more matches. With 10 teams, the talent is concentrated even further, and the prize money is greater. Croatia and Slovenia have already done this, and I wouldn't be surprised if Serbia is headed in this direction soon.
