thank you very much appreciated. I remember Delemont in the Super League.. back in those heady days! Is the bottom line with these teams that they just spend beyond there means and the revenue sources just aren't there? I mean must be pretty dire straits as I can't get any of these clubs to even respond to an email about buying a replica shirt from them... must be really short staffed... sorry that's another story onto itself.

Sorry to say not with Servette in that division. Maybe they can finish first when Aarau goes down for next season :)

When did Florian Berisha leave Xamax to join Servette? Good signing yes/no?

Berisha left in late January/early Feb to join Servette. I guess he was told that he really did not have a spot in Neuchatel.

    Week 18

    Cham - SC Bruehl 2-0
    Kriens - Servette 0-0
FCSG II - Old Boys 4-0

Servette did not start the 2nd half as bad as they started the fall (a loss) but it was a very uninspiring match. Yes, Kriens played very defensive, yes, Kriens fouled a lot, yes, the pitch was very poor. But If Servette wants to get out of the Promotion League, they need to overcome that and play well. Next week is Cham at Servette.

    Cham 37
    Servette 35
    Old Boys 30
    Kriens 30

All eyes will be on Servette - Cham this weekend. Servette was running a promotion of buy 1 get 1 free ticket to the match.

Disaster for Servette, great opportunistic victory for Cham. Cham is now 5 points up on Servette. Any chance they are even going to apply for a license? I know their stadium might not cut it, but I wonder if Zug's would be acceptable?

    Servette - Cham 1 - 2
    Old Boys - Kriens 1 - 2

    Cham 40
    Servette 35
    Kriens 33
    Old Boys 30

    CHAM!!!

    :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

If Cham gets promoted, they will apply for a license and play at the Allmend in Zug. Whether that license is accepted or not is anyone's guess.

    Old Boys - Cham 2-3
    Kriens - FCSG II 0-1

    Cham 43
    Servette 38

As it stands, Cham must slip up twice over the next 12 matches and Servette cannot drop any more points.

I guess I could have looked this up do Cham and Servette play each other again? Who on Cham's remaining schedule could take points from them? I think Servette thought just by showing up in this division they would get promoted. Nothing against Cham but it would be tragic if Servette don't go up as they were once one of Switzerland's great teams and definitely belong in the BCL if not RSL!

No, they do not play each other again. Servette has already played the Cham and Kriens, while Cham still has Kriens. The one promoted will come down to which can Cham not stumble, and will they get a license to move up to BCL.

Servette went ahead early 2-0 then held on for a 2-1 win. They missed 3 other good chances to put the match away.

    FCSG II - Cham

Cham with a 3-0 defeat at FCSG II and now there are only 2 points that separate the top two. Cham with the advantage, but it is much closer now.

In a shocking, but very honest announcement, Cham has announced that they will not seek a license for the BCL. In their minds it is too expensive for the moment. That means that even if they win the Promotion League, they will not be promoted, that would fall to the 2nd place team if they were to win. Now Servette still has to get their license, and they may still win the Promotion League, but this opens up the door for them in the BCL next season.

It makes sense, but it's incredibly sad. I was really hoping they would go up and fight to stay there. Congrats to Servette, though.

Despite the decision to not pursue a BCL license for next season, Cham is still is in the driver seat for the Title.

    2 April
    Cham - Kriens
    FCZ II - Servette

So in other years (if I'm not mistaken) or other leagues if the champion can not go up isn't it usually a reprieve for the last place team from the higher division in that they don't go down? I don't recall a 2nd place team going up in that spot.

It won't matter anyway since Biel is going way, way down, so someone is going to have to come up. Might as well be Servette.

It seems that they will drop down to the 2nd Interregional League.

    2 April
    Cham - Kriens 2-1
FCZ II - Servette 0-3 I wonder how Maxime Dominguez feels now that he, who forced the move from Servette last winter, is now stuck on FCZ II, and can not even break into what is a poor FCZ side.

The Cham victory over Kreins, while keeping them ahead of Servette, also served to distance Servette from them by 8 points.

Servette has 3 matches at home in a row.

    Cham 46
    Servette 44
    Kriens 36

Sorry don't mean to sound stupid but who in Switzerland plays in the Premiere League? Is this the French translation for the Super League? If so this is funny that they wouldn't in French call it the "Super" League as here in Canada the Quebec French use the word "Super" a non French word of course in front of every bleeding sentence whether spoken or written!
