How are you guys watching the Boca games in the Primera? I have TyC Sports through the Fubo TV App on my Apple TV. They show many Primera games, but not Boca or River? Any legal source to watch the games? I am too old for illegal streams.
Most of the games are on Argentine broadcasters like El Trece, Telefe, and America. Telefe blocks people outside of Argentina from their official stream, but the other two haven't so far (albeit the quality is pretty iffy sometimes). I'm not sure if there's a legal way to get those channels in USA, maybe there is?
It just goes to show how incompetent the AFA is. Why not charge say, $2 per match and then maybe include a season pass for your team, and an even higher fee to buy access to all the matches. Its seems pretty logical to me. Argentine football won't break into the US TV market, its just the sad reality, where you're competing with the big european leagues, and Liga MX, who has a massive following for obvious reasons despite being such a shitty league, and MLS. However, there are plenty of people with enough interest who'd pay to watch a match here or there, especially a superclasico, and River and Boca have enough of a following to get some people interested. Again, its just another example of the AFA shooting itself in the foot.
Boca and River used to be on GolTV here. I guess they negotiated deals separate from the rest of the league, but yes I would totally pay for a season pass with high quality streams. The only thing I miss about Cristina was all the matches being on Futbol Para Todos YouTube channel, great HD quality and for free, lol. But I know that was just mooching and not in the league's best interest.
I know lots of affluent Argentinos in the US who would pay $100 to watch Boca or River the entire Primera season. The cost of those rights will be far less than that. Why doesn't anyone in AFA want my easy money? Sure, I can find streams somewhere in the internet. But I am too old now, with other responsibilities. I just want to pomp my fat ass on the couch fire up the remote and watch some Boca football. I'll pay a lot of money for it. So please someone take my money.
For what it's worth you'll always find a stream on YouTube searching for Boca and then filtering for live streams. Just not always the best quality. RojaDirecta always has good ones but you have to try several to find the best. It's a major hassle. Goatd is easy but often has English feeds which isn't ideal.
A couple years back Univision showed CASLA 2 weeks in a row. I have no idea why they did it but they were on, even put advertising for it. For crying out loud, Univision shows the Dutch league. Oh yes, those AZ Alkmaar-Heracles games must get smashing ratings. Even Ajax v PSV Eindhoven will probably draw very little.
Yeah a Spanish speaking network would be a natural fit. Univision has extra stations like Unimas and Univision Deportes, so you'd think there would be room for Argentine football and it would draw a lot more than the Dutch.
Boca tries to keep the momentum going and the goals coming. VS Saturday April 2 20:10 (Hora Argentina) Stadium: Estadio José Dellagiovanna Ref: Silvio Trucco VAMOS BOOOOOCA!!!!!! Likely lineup: We've beaten Tigre 4 times in a row and are undefeated in 6 against them overall, so that's always good, but you can't take points for granted. No Tevez to lean on this time as we go with two forwards. Pongan huevos!
You can watch this one on America, btw. http://www.americatv.com.ar/ Boca taking forever to come out on the field. Hate that.
Pretty non eventful first half except for a Tigre goal that was a mile offside and thus correctly wiped out. We couldn't even muster any real approaches to their goal. Going to need some adjustments in the second half.
Sigh. Molina has been owned by Janson all game. Pathetic. And now an own goal by Silva, lol. Autogolazo.
Hoping for a bounceback as Boca hosts the Sharks. VS Saturday April 16 18:30 (Hora Argentina) Stadium: La Bombonera Ref: Federico Beligoy TV: Telefe (official stream geo-locked ) VAMOS BOOOOOCA!!!!!! Likely lineup: Our last (only?) meeting with Aldosivi was an embarrassing 3-0 loss at home. We should be motivated to avenge that you would think, but perhaps they're more focused on Libertadores with how far they've fallen behind in the league. It'll be interesting to see how Messidoro does if he indeed starts.
Chavez is such a moron. Aldosivi turns the ball over in their own end to give us a big chance and he takes an impossible shot instead of setting up a teammate. The field looks awful thanks to record rainfall. Wow.
GOL DE BOCA! Chavez finally pots one off a nice pass from Meli. About damn time, dude. Tie game at the half.
Boca scores twice while I'm scarfing down pizza, lol. Finally showing Aldosivi what for. Goals by Lodeiro and Messidoro, both pretty much right up the gut as the Sharks struggle to defend. As for Tevez, they've been saving him for Libertadores matches. He will probably take the game off against Cali now that they qualified and play against River next week, though.
