To be fair normally England play like shit even in friendlies they win, but today they were pretty decent.
Should have been 3-0 after 60 minutes.. But they totally quit playing after an hour. Whatever, Some nice goals I had fun watching. Congratz to England, they wanted it more.
Yeh I'm not talking about the score, I'm just saying England didn't look as shit as they normally do. They actually played pretty well. I like some of the young players they have like Kane, Alli, Barkley
World Champions Germany remain the go to team to get a self-esteem buff. Podolski for Müller...Slow Mario for Fit Mario..Löw didnt even try.
ain't no Germany if they don't somehow implode and get the crisis mode discussion before every big tournament. That said, England played very good and well-deserved of this comeback. Not the type of performance I'd expect from them. Can is a defensive liability, so was Schuerrle. I liked Hector though, and Gomez had a good outing.
Oh chill out will you, it's a friendly, I'm certainly not thinking we are ' the new shit ' but we at least have a few more decent players than the normal shit we have had over the years. Come the Euro's, Germany are still the team to beat imo.
Yup, I thought we actually looked quite in control of the match until the 2-0 (should've been 3-0), after which we unfortunately stopped playing. Some general observations: Kroos was outstanding with his distribution. Khedira was more hit and miss, great assist for the Gomez goal, but had some really bad passes. Hector continues to be very solid at Left Back, he should have that position locked down. The same can't be said about Can, who struggled defensively. That position might still be open for a late contender. Also, Hummels had a good game, the defense notably struggled when he went off, though to be fair to Rüdiger and Tah, they are very young and very unlikely to ever play in that combination in the Euros.
Eh, the second half in friendlies is for experimentation and running out bench players, there is nothing wrong with that, even if it means taking a late loss. What would be the point to have the first eleven play every friendly for 90 minutes? It just makes the statistic look nice.
After 2014 world cup there hasn't been a single game where Germany played really well...people keep saying Germany are not good at friendlies but if you play continuous poor football for 2 years the the chances of suddenly playing well in Euro are slim
