USAToday is running a bracket-style tournament for best jerseys in sports. There are only 2 MLS teams represented. SKC is pitted against Notre Dame football.

    Scroll down to vote.

I will try to update this next round, if anyone cares. But how great would it be to win this thing?

Well, we're huge underdogs at #14, but we have the lead at 68% with 2,000 votes in. I find that awesome especially with the caption of "You aren’t beating those gold helmets. Sorry, Sporting Kansas City." and our away kit from last year.

If we win, we'll probably be facing off against the Cubs.

No Chicago Blackhawks home red? No Montreal Canadiens? Meh.

Yep. You do a best jersey contest and don't include the Blackhawks? You are instantly rendered invalid. Not only is that a ridiculous snub, that's a final four snub. And then out of all the other MLS jerseys they could choose, they go with one of the worst with Seattle's awful green? Worst contest ever.

skc won their battle with notre dame. now it's against the chicago cubs. we're currently losing with only 23% of the vote after 700 votes.

outside of a silly contest like this, the red wings sweater/uniform is actually superior, but this isn't really a valid contest, so you gotta go with the vote-stuffing.

speaking of vote-stuffing, skc fans should really be taking the time to vote for the other ones as well. it looks ridiculous to see that the skc vote has way more votes for it than total people voting in other matchups. it's clear funny business is going on.

Yeah having more votes than some contests do between both is a lil much. I wouldn't say funny business, cause the system allows it, just shows people are only voting for 1.

Found the likely main reason for the difference in numbers, Sporting posted about it on their site with the poll embedded on the page so people could vote on SKC's site and it counted in the poll.

Or someone realized they were using a jersey the team didn't actually use anymore, and updated it to one of the current shirts.
