Since his left-sided YNT teammate John Nelson is looking at opportunities abroad, it would make logical (not really) sense that right-sided Olosunde would do the same. This is a reach maybe, but since we know Nelson was going to train at Man U and this Tweet popped up...

582266371905568768 is not a valid tweet id

    ... maybe there's smoke.

Olsosunde is a lanky '98 who was at Bradenton and is from the Red Bulls academy.

No idea if he could get a European passport somehow.

How many non-UK players have made the jump from ManU's Academy to their first team?

Also, please divide that into left- and right-footed players.

UK players get priority in England. Along with all the great players money can buy. Getting into ManU's academy means you probably won't get into their first team unless your from UK, or starring for Arsenal, PSG or Real Madrid.

depends, he could qualify to be HG if he spends 4 years before 21. that might mean something.

And raises one of how he got a WP, since if he has an EU passport, no need to wait until age 18.

I'm trying to figure out why they announced that, surely they knew that he signed in January? (according to ManU)

Definitely possible....I also might be messing up the timeline and Duke could've announced that before he even signed with United

hey, I wrote on that U-17 thread that I thought this kid would be popular (size, pace) and he is.

    So, kudos to me.

Of course, I also stated that Pulisic was not going to be a major league prospect due to lack thereof.

WTF, 50% ain't a bad rate in scouting.

He must have a long lost Latvian grandmother or something...............................

Or is it that when ManU wants a youngster, he must by default be considered an "exceptional talent?"

He is from Trenton, New Jersey. Maybe the FA thought he was from Trenton, Cornwall?

Kudos to the kid. Played full 80? minutes in his debut, lost 2-1 to Brighton.

Edit: Looks to have played left back according to guy that was there.

"played left back for the u18s tonight so seems adaptable anyway"

"I really valued my son going experiencing the scholarly rigor that typifies the American college experience, but then we learned he could pay a nerdy English kid with a lisp to take online classes for him.

That made the decision much easier," says Peter.

    He has Nigerian parents.
Trust me, his azz is going to take all those classes by himself and be expected to do well in them despite playing with United U18s.
