No idea how credible this is but this has been on reddit and a few other sites that Arsenal will be the Big Club participant in the MLS all star game in San Jose this year.

edit: announcement is supposed to happen on Thursday at 1pm, eastern

Copa America and Euros. So i'd imagine it won't be a very strong team.

Too bad it is that far away to watch a weakened team in a game that doesn't matter.

I've seen a rumor that it might be Liverpool instead of us for the All-Star Game; with Gerrard in the league, that would make sense.

Good thing they used Calum, Joel, and Elneny in the promotional add, since those are the guys that'll be playing.

I could see us getting trounced in this game.

Wow! Sounds like a left coast tour, but if by chance they come east too, I'll try to see em again. :D

p.s. That little promo video is great... the producers of that (MLS?) really had a good time, and went to some trouble getting all those players to act in it. The only one who's not quite believable is the boss at the end, when he says "Why not?" And you know he really would much rather be in Austria.

Too far for me to catch live but I'll wish them well. Here's to hoping for 2 wins and 0 injuries.

I would try to make it out, but I'm going to England in September, so instead I'll be saving money and waiting for next season's fixture list.

The round of 16 Knockout Phase of the 2016 Euros will be held June 25-27. t's conceivable that any of our players on teams eliminated at this stage could make the trip to the US for the game vs. the MLS All Stars.

Also, the Centenario edition of the Copa America will finish on June 26, so it's also conceivable that Alexis, Campbell and Ospina could make the trip, barring a deep run in the tournament. Doubtful Zelalem would feature for the US.

I think you'll see reserves and non-Internationals. He'd be crazy not give people like Ozil & Sanchez a rest.

Ozil and Sanchez aren't going to play in this. Give it a rest, and be thankful that Wenger will show up.

I'm gonna try to get out there. Need an excuse to go see my buddy in Oakland, and if the tickets aren't outrageous I'd rather see Arsenal than the US in Copa America when I'm already seeing them that same week here.

Too far for me sadly. But then I've seen them twice in last 2 yrs so I feel pretty lucky for that.

Yam18, why don't you post more often? We can always use a little more new blood around here.

I'd make a comment about Wenger and California girls, but it's San Jose.

I want to see at least Petr Cech in goal for the Gunners and perhaps Nacho, Ollie, Theo, and Alexis to show the MLS All-Stars that we are indeed the cream of the crop, and unlike two years ago in Portland (when Bayern Munich played) there will be NO "Gentlemen's Agreement" this time around, Arsene Wenger is gonna give the MLS' best the business!!! NO MERCY!!! COYF'n'G!!!

Now the only other burning question would be, what will our Matchday strips be like come All-Star match time??? I DO know that since Chivas (as all Chivas-owned squads do) traditionally wear red that we will be in either our away or third strips for the 2016-17 season in L.A. I expect some of the Greater L.A. chapters of GOONERS to fill StubHub FULL!!!

Arsenal America is working on getting an allocation for members. Nothing solid yet, but we should have more information soon. It will be open to all 2016-17 members, and we will be opening up registration for new members for next season in a few weeks. The game in LA is likely to be a much easier ticket for those who can only go to one match.

Came out of retirement for one last fight. It's worked out well in the past. ;)
