Toy snake? I thought it was Quigley from the Elmwood Park Zoo? Things got a little wild yesterday at @PhilaUnion media day! ⚽️🐍😬 pic.twitter.com/p3gVsS5cfc— Marisa Pilla (@Pilla_Talk) January 29, 2016 Either way, the snake hype is real this time around. Guess it's time to translate all of our songs/chants into Parseltongue.
I only have MS Paint... I like do like this a lot better than having it in the center though... When I see a center badge I think 90's/early 2000's
*yawn*. At least it's better than the pinstripes. This is coming from someone who really liked the 2012 kit though.
Keeper jersey looks really cool! was not expecting the "snakeskin" to be implemented there. Overall the jerseys look great... best one yet. beats out 2010 for me.
Keeper shirt is really nice. Would be awesome if Angelo's could get its act together and have them for sale. But that's probably expecting too much.
It actually started yesterday. I still suspect that some of the anti-Bimbo sentiment is rooted elsewhere and masquerades under the guise of the "another-name-for-dumb-girl" reasoning.
Doesn't the Bimbo deal end soon? I wonder of they feel it was worthwhile and will reup? When this started, I read a lot about Bimbo trying to build a national brand. They do not seem to have done that and are sticking with their historic brands.
2014 they re-upped for another 5 years. So 2019 would be the end of the current contract without any outside forces coming into play. I wish that were the case, but I've heard some pretty awful things about the jersey sponsor that have nothing to do with the spelling of the name.
From a Market Research standpoint I hear they are willing to spend money, so I would imagine their Marketing budget is plentiful too.
Well I'll be, I actually thought it was a fake! I even looked at one of the tweets for a second before I posted to make sure.
Same people wouldn't think twice about Herbalife or AdvoCare, but a Meixcan junk food company with a funny name is too shocking for them.
I know there was that thing a few years back about several workers getting fingers/limbs cut off while working in their factories.
Something H.L. Mencken once said about the American public often comes to mind during situations like these..
I do wonder why they don't use their advertising space to advertise brands more familiar to Americans. Entenmann's, Sarah Lee, or Thomas are easily identifiable brand names. Their instance to use what is such a niche brand name in this country continues to perplex me.
look what i really want is a wawa sponsored kit. is that too much to ask. (since we can't get beer sponsors on it)
