hes looking pretty good defensively at Lb. offensively he reminds me of when chandler played Lb, clearly right footed, but still a bit decent going forward.
I didn't bother to watch this one as I figure Payne to be on the bench. Wish I had. Weird, crazy game. Seems like tH rolled out a 4-4-2 tight diamond with Ayoub at the "10." Haller's strike partner was very young NEC/Top OSS player Patrick Joosten (he's a 96 like RR). Joosten has been in and out of the line-up for Utrecht, at CF, LW and RW. I don't know much about him. I don't recall him being in the Dutch youth set-up much if at all. His appearance on the "A" team came with RR's injury. He does not have great goal stats at all - as a youth or for the senior team, but ten Hag seem to like him - he has bounced between Jong and "big" Utrecht but gotten a number of starts. If Haller goes and Boymans get back to form, RR's job will be to kick Joosten to the curb - given that Joosten only has 2 assists and no goals in his apps since RR's injury, probably not that hard to do. Certainly in limited minutes RR has produced better for the Sr. team and U21, but not by miles. If Haller stays, RR's job is harder. Today, Ludwig at LM had a wacko game getting a YC, goal and 2ndYC/RC inside 20 mins of the second half.
